I go to the dump a lot and a metal recycler yard. Both are just the worst.

I have Radials and Bias plies on my different trailers, I know people online swear by Radials, but I honestly don't experience much difference between them. I prefer the Radials on reputation alone, but Bias plies are stupid cheap.

I switch to light truck radials for the trailers I can find those tires for.

Bias tires are shit. They don't last more than a couple seasons around here.

I'd argue that all trailer tires nowadays are shit, Bias are probably shittier though.

I bought 6 lug hubs to swap out my trailer hubs to match my Taco so I could just run truck tires and use the truck spare if needed, I just have never actually done it.

I bought the stuff to do it... Now I can't remember why I didn't do it lol.

Always ran 10ply on my trailers.... & At least 1 spare.

Now days with junkier tires I'm running 12plys & 2 spares for any real trips.

When I ordered my gooseneck in 2017 I paid extra for American tires, the sales guy said "that was a smart choice". Cheap made tires shouldn't even be an option :smash:

I like to say that..... Unfortunately all tires now days are junk.

Got Michelin XtX on my SD & that's what I've always run.... They don't even seem up to the standard they always were.

Got nittos on my half ton & they seem to be much better tires.

What is considered a "HQ" American made tire now days? Just don't say Firestone/bridgestone

My wife's car will be needing tires soon, I was shocked at the prices the local tire dealer gave me. Michelin's were almost $1,800

WHAT?!? That sounds like a gouge. I paid ~$1300 for 4 Michelin extreme summer tires a year ago. Those were 18" tires; maybe they charge more for 20" and so on...? But still.
