It's one of those things you will find more and more stuff to do with it. Or just make your life easier. You think now it's just "o all I'll use it for is moving hay". Then you get it and next thing you know you have 50 hours on it in a month lol.

And best part with the neighbors having them already....just borrow their implements!

As for trailers...I lucked out on that. Wife's coworker has a trailer we can use whenever. We borrowed it once for a cross country trip and I fixed it up a bit (new bearings and new lights) and he was so happy that he just lets us use it whenever we want.

Mine has acres of grass to choose from. She goes wherever the urge takes her. Sometimes it is two feet off the front steps others it is in weeds next to the fence. Always gotta watch your step. :poking:

Today is cross thread day. Got a seatbelt ordered for the B7100 yesterday. Measured 60" but went with the 72" one in case I get fatter:eek:.
    Cross thread part:
I have a old 55 gallon drum and I'm going to cut the top off, and the bottom and use it to set on top and old stump to burn it out.

Finally finishing the refresh on the new to me L245. After changing out all the fluids and filters I started on the rest. Upgraded the headlight bulbs to LED bulbs, changed out the rear light housing that only threw light in a weird angled line to an LED pod I had laying around. Then started on rebuilding the steering. All the tie rod ends were cooked, boots were rotted away no grease in any of them, front tires death wobbled bad while speeds were faster in high gears 3 and 4. Drag link was easy, two new tie rod ends and some grease. Knuckle to knuckle front tie rod assembly I was quoted at $300 to replace brand new since they don't make the extendable tie rod for the passenger side. Its basically a solid rod with a tie rod end on it. So I decided to make my own. 5/8" rod, Piece of 7/8" bushing steel drilled out, LH tapped on one end, cross drilled for plug welds. Now I can change out the tie rod end in the future with another LH threaded tie rod end and not have to replace the entire piece. Cost me $100 to make including the tie rod end. throwing some paint on today and will slap it back together later this week.

Only thing left to do now is change out the dry rotted front tires for the new ones sitting on the garage floor but since the tubes are holding air fine I may wait till next fall to do those.

I don’t have a green thumb and this is literally the first time I have ever started a yard. This is what the yard looked like in the beginning.

Feel ya there..... Tractor & mini truck are things I could never be without now on a mini farm... Will never own a wheel barrel again.

That's really impressive with your grass growing. It's just near impossible for someone like me to be successful at grass. Bad soil, don't water enough, don't pay enough attention to it... Blah blah.

    Good results for you though!

Headed out to do some tractor time right now!

Ok some of my day didn't go as planned. Was removing the not so engineered remotes got the parts, 1 was the wrong part but I got it anyway. back to slowes I go. Ok onto the fire extinguisher thingy. We have 5 and it's time for the refresh. Driving by on my way to home Depot wasting time I dropped the Tacoma fire extinguisher off. Said it will be ready after noon tomorrow . Then I'll take 2 more in and so on. The plan is to put 1 on the tractor. And that 55 gallon drum I spoke about, well it has 2-3 inches of dried lacquer in the bottom :rofl::rofl:. Got the top off that's when I discovered the lacquer . Flipped it over but batteries were of no help today :ballchain: poor planing on my end. But alas I did get the bottom 3/4 the way cut.
Oh yeah I forgot I did get the yard mowed by the work shop. All this and had 2 Dr appointment today. Whew no wonder I tard. @RustyGreen ... See how I did that :rofl::hattip:

Alright trailer people. I have a rusty frame on my trailer. What’s the best paint to restore it?
Cant afford steel-it. Is rustoleum 2-1 reform and seal any good?

I haven't heard anything about that product, but I do hear people have good success with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator. You do have to top coat it as well.

Body guys don't seem to like POR15, can't remember why. My dad (retired body/paint guy) always put an epoxy top coating on frames over the years.

I've always tried to wire brush a frame the best I can then paint it, I've never used what you shared but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I used corroseal on my bridge I beams. It goes on white and turns black like new steal then paint. Not sure I would want to put rubber on a frame look at what we use on our 2nd Gen frames.

Just started thinking about how they say don't put rubber on frames because it traps moisture in.
