485.72 square miles with 17,610 < current county.

Dad found some old ford suitcase weights in his barn he had stashed away and gave me a few. They aren't built for the thin rack the L245 has but I found a foot of 1/8" 1x2 in my scrap pile.
Think 1/8" is thick enough to handle 3-4 60-80lb weights? Also what are the odds they hop off and the 1x2 falls out? They are super snug and I have to wiggle them back and forth to get them to seat down on the rack with the 1x2 in place. Bolts on the back are super corroded so I was thinking of cutting them off and putting new on, even though I don't think they would do much.

I'd think it would be fine as long as you bolt them together.

I was thinking about welding some strap and some rod onto it and placing the rod in those little holes to keep it held up if it does ever fall out. Bolting the weights together I think will help as well and was a plan.

As a rule, tractors vibrate a lot. So secure everything the best way you can.

I have two TSCs in town, the nearest is about 25 minutes away. We don't have RK here, but we do have the Co-op, another 10 minutes further. I probably use TSC more, but the Co-op is a handy place to have too.

Mine is ziptied to the ROP bar.
I'll to something more permanent later, but the zip-ties are effective for now.

Seatbelt came for the tractor today and put it on.
Mowed 2 yards, restarted burning that darn stump . Over seeded the old barn area where I seeded and actually have grass coming up .
Planted onion sets today, and walked Mal 4 miles.

I’d cut that 1x2 so that it fits on the inside of the weight bar instead of the outside. Trim it with radii to fit the inside curvature of the flat stock on both ends and tucks in there nicely. Weld it in place creating reinforcement to that bracket. Joucing around weights can bend that flat stock, but with that full length gusset it be strong like bull.

Fuck, came to check out lawn mowers, tractors, and chainsaws, and find myself in the middle of a census.

TSC is about 10 minutes from the house, Rural King about 20. The thing is compared to Rural King TSC is like the convenience store of farm supply stores.
