Thanks but that walk is just the start :rofl:. It's part of the daily training :smack:. We get to play 3/4 the way through with :playball:. When we get home I get to start my chores as Mal takes a nap. Then after about 2 hours back out for some obedience training and more play for exercise:goingcrazy:, back to my chores.
It was really cool yesterday, I started mowing and she laid down in the shade. I left her in the front yard while I mowed the side and back, well the wife came home and Mal just laid there until released by the wife.
That's good because she knew to stay until released and told to come.
That was perfect in my opinion. This goes on all day .

Never been to a rural king. There’s a couple TSC’s here with uppity register chicks and OK dudes for deliveries. They have this spay station or shots fukall deal every weekend where you go to the gloves section to checkout gloves and there’s these weirdos loitering around with their dogs standing in the way. I mentioned to the manager every time o come here I can’t access the gloves cuz some jackass just deadpan stares at me when I approach. I’m not the asshole I was 10 years ago so I’m not going to barge in there rolling fools to get a pair of gloves. I just won’t give them my business when it comes to gloves.

    You guys are funny.

RK is the meeting place in our town for all of us retired trade workers. We all see each other, catch up on who died. All the Staff knows my Bulldog & greets him with treats. He loves going there.

If I say Browser let's go to RK.... Hes at the door howling & then at his truck waiting to get in. If he doesn't go at least once a week he gets pouty.

Not really weirdos lol. Pretty sure their just people taking advantage of some mobile vet ordeal TSC hosts and n Saturdays which is the one day I go there. When I say weirdos I roll up to the clothing section and they’re clogging up the aisles with blank stares waiting on some chick with a fold up table. It’s kinda messed up cuz I like to peruse the latest Ariat boots and Carharts while getting gloves but since like the past 6 months that whole section of the store is literally inaccessible due to all the congestion. I usually take Fritz with me and he’s trained to leave everyone alone but even he’s curious what’s going on over there lol

I only have TSC in my area, no RK or other farm stores found in other states. For me it works for bird seed when on sale and my collection of assorted tractor pins.

So not sure about the Rural King up here, I don't get to RK as much as I used to. But, the one where I used to live gave away free popcorn. And I think there were more than a couple of families, when deciding where they wanted to eat that evening, chose Rural King.

I was debating welding the rectangle tube to the flat stock just so I wouldn't have to worry about it falling out. Inside makes more sense as it pulls the weights closer to the tractor to cut down on bounce weight on that flat stock.

We used to have lots of those around. RK put them out of business in our parts.

YES free popcorn & dog treats is still the deal at our RK's. On select holidays they do free hotdogs.
We spend a lot of money at RK, so its a good thing & my Browser loves everybody there. He's very popular with young kids, old people & chunky chix of all ages. He is a total rock star.

We do, but they serve no real purpose other than being listed on a map. Most county governments in Massachusetts were abolished 25-30 years ago.

But, we're 946 sq miles and 129,000 people.

1124 sq miles here, of which 279 sq miles is water. Population is a bit over 273k. There are several small-sized cities in this Parish, as well as a large amount of unincorporated area. The area where I live is rural, but about 10 minutes from a small town, and about 15 minutes from a larger (but still small) town. We have a horse facility on one side of our property, and they raise deer on the other side. Well water, Septic Tank, propane, fiber internet, but no cable TV. I grew up in the big city about 45 miles away, but the big city that I grew up in is no longer there. It's all different now.

Used the scrap blade today on the tractor for the shared road from main road to my house and just up the hill a little bit. Did really good on the first part but the up hill part not as good. They need to get some road bond down.

I am in a town of 1600 without a post office, general store, gas station, or anything like that. Only about 10 minutes from a small "city" of 14,000. Some grocery stores and hardware stores and such there.

Well and septic here too. There is a small public water system in the town, but not near me. It's fed by a couple wells and feeds a few dozen houses on one end. My understanding is it is kind of in trouble because it isn't really financially viable to run a system that small.

Oil and pellets for heat. Nearest natural gas line is probably 5 miles away.

If I was a single guy? Hell yes my little man would help me score all the time. He's a team player for sure. :)

But instead I'm just a forever married guy covered in dog spit.

Well looks like I need to get new trailer tires for the trailer we borrow. Feel likes its only fair since we get to borrow it for free and have put ~6k miles on it in the past 8 months. But the tires were from 2012 and sit outside in the sun. This past trip (3 hours each way) we noticed one tire had a "chunk" missing. Ended up looking like this when we got back. Bit of weird wear on it as its pretty much worn down through the tread (where you would check tread depth) just in a like 12" long section and then the rest still has plenty of depth left. Its also only the outter edge like that...the next "channel" over matches the rest of the tire. Just kinda odd.

Thankfully it made it ~200miles without issue (it wasnt as bad as in the picture) as the spare looks ok but is from 2003 :annoyed:

Sooo any recommendations for tires? load e for dual axle car trailer.

We also picked an a *gasp* electric mower. Not my first choice but damn mowers have gotten expensive! And the wife wanted an electric for the smaller areas to mow. Makes me sad I offloaded my riding mower when we sold our old house. Couple got a steal on it looking back but we had no room to move it with us.

But first impressions....its ok. Cuts fine and runs fine but i can tell already itll suck through the batteries if you dont mow it often. And any sort of wetness to the grass sucks the power down too. Luckily this one came with two batteries. Doesn't help we have ~an acre of grass which is kind of that funky yard size IMO for riding, stand on, push/self-propelled

Hopefully memorial day has some good sales or someone looks to get rid of one to get a bigger gas mower
