Goddamn, you found it. I pulled the coil and couldn't find one with the part number 594524. I will have to bookmark that parts website.

That parts site was at the top of the page when I searched the engine model number that I found. Then I found the part number at that parts site. The engine model number also appears in one of your other pictures.

Yes they have a torque spec. We had two Toro rough mowers, probably $50,000 plus machines, that all the spindles on both of them went out at the same time while still in warranty. The dealer refused to cover them because the mechanic had been reinstalling the blades with a impact wrench. That was a very costly repair.

So made me some small lifting "jacks".... Gonna lift my sidewalks & level after this wall is done.

3/4" all thread & 1/2" plate steel. Small ones will lift 12".... Big ones will lift 16'... Figure they will be handy for lifting other heavy stuff.

Did you like your echo PAS stuff? That’s the line I’m looking at for my gas replacement.

also pretty sure I made up my mind today. Went out to our small lot (maybe 1 acre give or take) and only brought the electric one. Full battery dropped to 2 bars quick and then I think it overheated a couple of times shutting down the trimmer. There’s not a whole lot to trim on that lot, but a few spots are tall grass that bog everything down. 93 degrees and humid. It’s only going to get worse too. Gas it is.

I really like my echo, I've got the professional 2620 motor and the high torque trimmer head and its great. If I was gonna be cutting taller heavy grass I would recommend the brush cutter attachment. The only thing I remember liking about stihl better is the trimmer head on a stihl has a divider so the two sides of line doesn't get mixed tangled in the head, it doesn't happen often with the echo but its annoying when it does. Links to show what I'm talking about.

Stihl for the win. Ryobi, or any other power tool outfit is not on the same planet as far as battery powered yard equipment.

I like Stihl and Husqvarna, I’ve not had much luck with Echo or Ryobi.

I “still” have the same Stihl battery trimmer I bought 12 years ago and it “still” runs like new.
    https://blog.stihl.co.uk/stihl-battery-technology-history/

I’ve said it before Stihl has by far superior yard equipment when it comes to battery powered stuff. I have 5 Stihl battery yard tools and they never disappoint. Aside from a Quick Lok pole saw I got from Milwaukee the Stihl lineup trumps all other battery powered yard tools.

If you are staying around the homestead I see nothing wrong with electric, but if you're taking it on the road then yes, gas.

I agree. I still have a Stihl chainsaw that I bought for the last Club I worked at. That was easily 25 years ago and it's still going strong. I brought it in to where I now work and used it to cut down, and up, hundreds of ash trees.

And no, I didn't steal the thing from my last course. A year after I left and they decided to close and I help them get rid of their equipment, and what the buyer didn't make an offer on I had first choice.

The gas one I’m replacing is an old Ryobi trimmer that my dad bought back in the early 90’s. I’ve replaced the carb once about 9 years ago but besides that it’s been bulletproof. It’s just getting harder and harder to find the parts I need for it.

if I’m going to spending big money on battery stuff, I think I’ll just go back to gas and stay in my comfort zone. It is good to know that there are more robust battery powered yard tools though. Thank y’all
