I'd never seen an antler trashed tree on my property until last winter. A nice little 1inch diameter white pine beside it's big mama. Not just a scrape here and there, but girdled for about a foot up the trunk (4 feet tall). Deader than dead. But we do like seeing the deer wander through.

Oh, and can I still stick aroun here? Replacing the 2013 gen 2 with a R______e. Really dissapointed with the 2024 Tacoma. Even I found it too uncomfortable to survive in. Seats suck, neck jammed forward, legs straight out in front of you, the list goes on. Toyota blew it this time.

    Ban hammer?

We see them daily on walks and grazing next to the house in the field. Matter of fact saw 1 running in the neighbors field this morning when I left out.
@six5crèéd you want to weigh in here?

We left for church yesterday evening and a storm came up. We got behind this guy, had our windshield wipers on high, I bet he’s glad he opted for the cab :D

Nothing I can do about our driveway washing when you get this much rain in a little amount of time. I’ll just have to fix it again after it’s done.

All this rain water started to eat away my new culvert. :annoyed: Got the good old shovel out and Jerry rigged a solution for the time being. Will also need to address the river that decided to form down my driveway.

That's a lot of water coming through, hopefully your temporary solution holds up for you

Hope your property holds up to the rainfall. Here in the sub-tropics, we sometimes get 4" to 6" of rain.... in an hour. That's the kind of rain that gives places like New Orleans or Houston big problems with flooding.

We don't usually get a lot of rain in a little amount of time unless it's from a hurricane. We live on the top of a mountain so the driveway has a lot coming down it when we do.

Don't even mention hurricanes. A "wet" storm around here can easily dump 18" to 30" of rain over 24 hours or less. No good, no fun . . . :annoyed:

We had 11 inches Monday. North FL got 2-3x that.

Nothing wrong with that as long as someone eats them. (We do)
All my fruit trees have cages around them
So do any new young trees we plant every year.... Until they get up to a size deer don't like.

Bud you need some big D rock around that inlet side of your culvert to keep that damage down.
Or concrete.... Rock is way easier to dump out & move around though.

getting ready to do more of this myself. Got 500' of ditch line already done down the driveway. Gonna have to do my pond outlet now.

Yeah… I was stupid and thought the county knew what they were doing when they replaced it. Definitely need to get some big rocks

    It’s a constant battle!

I’d recommend a concrete head wall around your pipe.

Was relieved to find our driveway hadn’t washed that bad today when the hurricane came through.
