Question, I've heard of in ye olden times on cars if there was carbon buildup on the valves you could spray light water mist or pulverized walnut shells to break up the carbon, would this work on cleaning carbon out the exhaust on a two stroke? Obviously no valves in a two stroke.

I'm not sure. The displacement is so small.

Can you develope enough heat to cause any measurable cleaning?

Went to start dropping my lower unit on our outboard and the first bolt comes out powdery and missing the bottom half of its threads. Guess this annual service is going to take a tad longer than Usual. That’ll teach me to wait 3 years to do an annual.

Question for me today is what will I be doing today? It's supposed to be 70 later.
They moved the grinder to the other side of the plant to start on another pile.

Well Monday has come and gone. Good news we are able to use the clamp forklift and shake the dried mud out :bananadance:, it makes it go so much faster for us.
Tonight rain so that may slow things down a bit tomorrow. We will see.

I am to lazy to go back and read all your posts.
Is your job to pressure wash the dirt/mud/debris out of old pvc pipe that will be reused?
Sounds like you are figuring out new more effective ways of cleaning PVC.

only one bolt came out relatively unscathed. I’m just glad they came out without breaking off. One of them took a lot of heat and on blaster over the course of 3 days

Yesterday we pressure washed ugh. We got our winter bibs in and brought them home. Just in time for Monday and the high of 35, next week it's going to be cold. We get Thursday through Sunday off a good time for our recovery and rest.
We had BBQ chicken breast and chopped pork for lunch yesterday, can't wait to see what we get today.
Hope everyone has a great weekend when you get to it and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hello all, I have one of these. Mine had flood damage from one of our recent hurricanes. I can pull the rope and engine has compression, but it doesnt turn completely without the rope handle wanting to separate the fingers from my hand. DAMN THAT HURTS! I removed the spark plug and pulled it enough to where all the water seems to be out of the engine.

Now what? Change the plug? will that do it? What is causing that horrible resistance when pulling the rope?

Has your company thought of offering the hurricane affected pipe at a discount? As-is? Seems it would eat up any profit by having someone(s) cleaning up the damaged pipe.

I'm thinking they have done so. The problem is with what was down river is there's no guarantee that there aren't any pins holes in the pipe.

If it got flooded it probably needs a good carb and gas tank cleaning as well, and an air filter maybe. As far as the resistance goes, can you pull it completely with the plug out?
