Finishing up with the leaves. The oaks are never in a hurry to drop theirs.

Every one of those threads has a level of "fooked" to them, I'm seeing a bunch of Heli-coils or EZ Serts in your future!

Yep. Hoping the threads will clean up in the female side but I’m not holding my breath.

    Did a little wrenching yesterday..
    Relocating battery on the excavator.

It was in one of those impossible locations to jump & is a tiny battery.

Now it's in a spot it can be jumped or replaced easy.

Those damn oaks take six months to drop all their leaves! My last house was on a lot entirely populated by oaks, I was raking from October to April.

Do you leave the choke partially closed to make sure the engine is burning mega rich?

Don't you want the most CO present you can get?

I honestly don't know, I'm just thinking what would give the most bang for the buck going by my college physics.

Yea partially closed on a genny makes it surge then quit. I tried it. Really though, the fumes alone are very toxic so they’re getting it. I thought about throwing a splash or 2 cycle oil in there but don’t wanna foul the plug. This is a genny that I reclaimed from a barn fire I demoed a couple years back and I got it running well after it looked like a goner to the owner. Anyways from what I saw on YouTube people like to use older engines that have bypass and smoke. But I’m not young anymore and don’t relish yanking the pull start anymore than I want to. Plus I have a kinda OCD issue with messing with something that runs fine lol.

You won't hurt a thing running last years 2 stroke fuel in your 4 stroke engine.

I've been burning my old 2 cycle boat fuel in my mowers for years. It doesn't even notice it.

So being a golf course superintendent for years I've dealt with having leaf blowers and weed eaters that take two cycle, and push mowers and walking greens mowers that are four cycle. After losing some two-cycle engines to straight gas I completely got rid of it. Only had one gas can in the shop and it was full of mixed gas. Used it in the weed eaters/ blowers and the four-cycle engines as well. Never had a problem with foul plugs. It just wasn't an issue. Properly mixed fuel doesn't foul a two-cycle plug, so why would it a 4 Cycle?
