I got 2 Gopher hawks with only a small amount of action. They would sit out there for weeks and not get any

That happens to me. I seem to get better results in the spring when moles get more active and are probably feeling "amorous".

It was cold and snowing yesterday so they put us inside to pressure wash. What a shit show to begin with.
Today is colder 13 degrees here I think we're going to push pipe today.

More mole patrol on my west property after work yesterday. Been cold and dry but foggy as heck.
upload_2024-12-4_5-53-37.jpgupload_2024-12-4_5-53-57.jpgSo far the ones I gassed Friday are not showing any activity. I did go over the wood line the other day and gassed the tunnels in the planters for good measure
upload_2024-12-4_5-56-16.jpgThe wife showed up just in time with my cylicon hose I ordered.

upload_2024-12-4_6-0-11.jpgupload_2024-12-4_6-0-51.jpgI melted 2 older hoses already and this one has like a 500 degree rating so we’ll see how long it lasts. I was able to shorten the steel pipe fittings and it’s more manageable now.

Incase anyone’s wondering, that genny is held in the bucket by a ratchet strap hooked to a couple clevis mounts under my bucket hooks.

I need to get after moleage as well. Bristards!!

Dry? yes no rain up here, but the condensing fog is crazy. Without disclosing precise location or anything what's on the other side of the fence in pic #2?

That’s an electric fence sign. She called me last year saying her mom spotted some zombies wandering around back there. So she put up the signs as a deterrent. The fence is electric but this might help keep the wanderers away. No clue where they come from but people are weird. It’s like back in the 60’s and 70’s hitchhiking hippy days but now they’re all lost heroin addicts or whatever wandering around anywhere with no respect for private property. Her mom went out to feed the horses and found some tissues and whatnot in the straw pile. They can’t even clean up after themselves. It’s not just the cities they invade. A couple years ago I left a burn pile over there to smolder while I went to work the next day. My family ther neighbor calls Ma saying a couple dudes were throwing stuff in there to get it back up and burning….What! After calling the sheriffs since I wasn’t home they had moved on. Got one on my camera and recognized him as a dude down the road who was on a bender w his dad and they decided to go on an adventure or whatever. Since I posted no trespassing signs and neighbors and I keep an eye on things. I did give them a discreet visit letting them know it’s not ok to do that. Haven’t seen them since

Decided to get a 20” bar for the 036 and put the 25” on the shelf for falling big trees. Hopefully this thing will eat through some bigger wood with a little less bar in the dirt.

The 20" bar is what I've always run on my 036. So long as the chain was sharp, it's never failed to do the job.

Well we finished up the 6" sewer pipe today and started on 4" cell core PVC this afternoon. Told my bosses I will be late tomorrow after a Dr appointment. That should screw up the minions in the morning.

I put side mirrors on my tractor today in an effort to make things easier on my neck and back. Plus I'm always concerned about backing up over pets, people, tools, or shrubs. I haven't driven it around yet, but the magnets are extremely strong. I'll be very surprised if they move or fall off due to vibration or being swiped by small leafy branches.

Nice, I like having mirrors. Did you buy them with the magnetic mounts or was that your idea?

Can we add plows to the thread title? Just kidding, but I do have a plow question. The frame on my Fisher Homesteader plow broke fortunately on the last snow storm of the year last year and of course I could not be bothered to actually complete the repair during the warm months so I am at it this morning. Salt does wonderful things to bolts but with a good impact wrench, some PB Blaster and some heat I have managed to loosen all the nuts and bolts necessary and am most of the way through transferring parts from the old broken plow frame to the new plow frame. But when I removed the main hydraulic cylinder from one part of the plow it shortened up and now will not extend far enough to reach where it needs to bolt to the new frame. Any suggestions on the best way to drag this little project over the finish line? Hook up the plow and push the necessary button to extend the cylinder or is there a better mouse trap out there? Thanks for any and all help. And I do have a granddaughter's birthday party coming up at any minute so I might not be able to respond quickly. My apologies as I don't like posting a question then disappearing.

Plugging the power unit into the truck and pushing the button is probably the easiest way to do it.
