Morning, been blowing PVC pipe all week, they are letting us off at noon tomorrow. I'm going to take it off if approved, and they are giving us Tuesday off too. Gonna use my PTO for Friday and Tuesday and get holiday pay for Wednesday.
Drive the kitty cat forklift yesterday for a little bit lots of fun.
Y'all have a great day and stay safe out there.

Have pads more brush and small branches with the bucket. Had some more deadfall on the west she de but no pics. That M18 pole saw is awesome for limbing. Only had to make 4 cuts w the Stihl but gave it a small workout just to burn some gas through it. Burn piles growing.

Makes me glad that I don't have television!

Too many easy jokes to be made!

I've started looking at used chain saws, I've operated saws in the past - just never owned one. Any brand names that are better gambles on being used? I know Stihl and Husqvarna , no ideas which models are good and which ones to avoid. I'm thinking a bar length between 18-20" should suffice.

It’s the age old battle which is better but I’m a Stihl guy. The Huskys are lighter but not by much. They both have their strengths and weaknesses but either saw is a good saw. I just know the stihls better so I stick with what I know. Anyways Echo makes a good saw and if you get your hands on an older Homelite those things run forever. But it’s all about how it’s been maintained in a used saw. I for one would not buy used saw. You can get a new MS170 for under 200 and I think it has a 16” blade. I would go for a MS271 Farm Boss if that is your first saw. Really good all rounder that gets any job done.

I’ve got Stihl and Husqvarna, both are good saws.

Me and Stihl engines have never been best buddies, but that's just me.

Thanks for all of the replies. I now that a used saw is a gamble, Right now I have to squeeze pennies so tight, the eagle is pooping on my fingers.

been gone a few days..... Couple things here...

First : I never loan my equipment. A shovel or axe? Sure.
Anything that costs a lot of money? Eh NO. I'll come help you if I like you .... But it ain't for loan.

Then about all this pipe washing from the hurricane/spin offs.... Got a question for you.

Do you know why all the yellow pipe is in piles all over the Jonesborough TN area? There are piles of it down the road sides up on stacks of rubble & trees everywhere when I went thru there this week.

Miles of road with total devastation & a zillion feet of yellow PVC pipe everywhere. What's that about?

Wonder if it came from Impact Plastics in Erwin?

Good morning hope everyone had a great weekend.
Yes I would imagine the yellow gas pipe is from impact plastics because they got washed away and from my understanding list some lives too. Very sad situation I hear.

    I'm sure you are right.
I'm back at it again today then off for Christmas. Work Thursday and Friday off Saturday and Sunday work Monday and Tuesday off Wednesday work Thursday and Friday off the next weekend.
    Seems like I'm visiting work.

Well we went to work yesterday and and we were the only ones there besides some contractors.
They actually had me on the cat forklift running pallets of coiled pipe out to the far side of the property.
And when noon came I went to the truck to eat and my supervisor called and said let's go home .
Everyone else is going. So I worked half day and off for the next 2.:bananadance:
    Y'all have a great holiday.

    Great info!

Yes many many miles of yellow coils busted & on top mountains of debris.

Couldn't get any pix was by self driving.

All the big metal buildings were just frames/roofs. Every wall was gone.
