I've always sprayed around our fence until this spring when I sold my mower that had a rear basket I made to hold the 15 gallon sprayer and I had to go back pack so I started weed eating about every 3rd time I mow. The mower I bought has no place for me to mount a sprayer. I've got other options now though.

    Sold this one...

That was exactly what I was going to say! And that’s my plans. I had a mount off the back of my tractor style riding mower, and I plan on doing it off the front on my Gravely.

Here's a pic from the day I brought my used Cub Cadet XT1 home. Immediately installed new blades and leveled the deck. I just recently picked up a bagger which will be nice to have.

The used stuff that you bring home looks a heck of a lot better than the used stuff I bring home -- but I have been called cheap before...

HA, I've brought home my share of REALLY used stuff too. This was a good find, only had about 50 hours on it. A pharmacist owned it and was moving to a condo where he didn't need it. Saved a few hundred bucks plus tax by not buying new.

Here's the best used thing I ever brought home. 1946 Towmotor LT-40. No handy guy should be without a fork lift.

@six5creed, this was the easiest thing ever!!!! All of that cursing and threatening to cut its head off and replace it with a Sthil head was taken back!

I might have spoke too soon... you know how when you wind your Sthil style head, you plan on where the line lands on the spool and do it so that there are no loose pockets on the spool to have bind up at XX,000 RPM? This “simple” way of winding it, it lands where it may, and I only got a few minutes in before the line broke flush with the feed holes. I popped the cover off to find the string had dug itself deep into the overlaps of the spool and bound up. Now I’m fighting to get the cover back on the head without the line freespooling.
So far I’m not sold. I might try to hold tension on the line when reeling it on the head next time, that may help...
Onto the Sthil I move for now!

Nope. That's the neighbor. British fella.
I was excited for a fellow HAM when we bought the place but it turns out all he does is Morse code back to England or some crap.

6 loads later and all I lack is finishing:thumbsup:

Is reclaim still cheap in your area? It used to be practically free around here, but the idea of using it to resurface gravel driveways caught on and now it's like $17 a ton, when you pick it up and haul it yourself. And at 2 tons per yard it adds up in a hurry; it cost me close to $500 to redo my plain gravel driveway with it last summer.

My brother bought 2 2005 kubota b2230’s at least I think that’s the number.... both have 60” decks and one has loader attachment with ag tires... other has turf. My son who’s 15 mows with my bro joe this past summer... I’m usually on his husky zero turn. Pictures waiting.... till I have time to figure out how to post some....

I haven't paid the bill yet but I think he said $12/ton. 6 loads should've been 80-90 ton (tandem). With trucking at $85/hr, I'm probably looking at ~$1600.
I had quotes as low as $8/ton but it was far enough away that the hauling would've killed me.
Interesting that you say 2tons/yard. I figured the yards I needed and had people tell me from 1.25 to 1.8 tons/yard.
