I wanted to share this with you all. I did a quick comparison with Walmart....and I'd say the Commissary at Quantico is still way better and tax free for us military folks.

the same bag of coffee was $15 at Walmart and tax. $8.20 at quantico tax free.

I have a family cookout coming up so I bought a bunch of the bubba burgers because I thought it would just be easier for me and good quality from what I recall. Walmart $15, Quantico 12.29.

Just examples. Alcohol is also the same, but I like the Coast Guard exchange for that. titos 1.75 bottle....$28 this past winter. Middleton very rare Irish Whiskey $110.

Thanks for all of the tips! I can't wait to get some more practice.... after the camera shows up :mad::annoyed:
It's looking like that won't happen until tomorrow. And with as late as our mail comes here that means I won't be able to really do anything until Friday.

The commissary is a good benefit but the surcharge is annoying. Unfortunately I don’t have a commissary close enough to use regularly. I used to make quarterly trip to Ft Campbell, but since we got Sam’s club it’s not worth the trip anymore.

I've read that you have to be careful with the L3901 tractor not to hit the tail lights with the QH by raising it too high. Is there any reason not to wedge a little piece of metal under the stop at the top end of the lifting lever like I've done? It's marked with a question mark in the picture.

Why does your QH hit tail lights?

It hasn't.... yet. It's just something I came across when I was finalizing which quick hitch I was going to get. Apparently it's happened to more than one person on some of the tractor forums. It appears that mine would get to less than an inch, but not actually hit. But I'm just trying to be proactive, and avoid a nasty situation. Since one of my lenses was broken when I got the tractor I already know that you can't just replace the lens you got to replace the whole thing.. for $200. I'm not interested in that!

Wont hurt a thing. Will just limit your travel.

Im also of the how can the 3 point come high enough to hit those?

Granted.... Ive busted several tail lights backing into stuff. That happens in the woods.
But never hit them raising anything up.

Hey did you take the chainsaw holder off your grinder? Its actually a super good place to put it.

    I didn't take it off... but I didn't install it either ;)
When I've needed it (pre-stump grinder days) I've just put it in my carry-all basket at the back.

I probably should not have grabbed this unit. Picked up for the cost of scrap. It came with a power vacuum bagger system, so it does have potential.

I'm posting a link to my photo album. It's just easier to comment on individual pics when I load them to the album.

Let me know if they show up on your end.

Thought you were experimenting with sealing that head?

Yep. I did fill in the gouges on the head with high temp epoxy. I also found a valve guide that had pushed up. I repositioned it. Will see if it stays. If not, I'll pin it in position.

I would test your setup by shortening the top link for minimum clearance, and making sure that you are using the right mounting hole. If it is going to hit, then I’d block the up travel on the lever. If it clears with a shortened top link I would not worry about it.

On my commute to and fro there's a landscaper who put out a Toro z turn for sale. I asked the neighbor who is a landscaper too about it. He said the guy does do maintenance good but has hired hands running equipment and he would stay clear. Needless to say I haven't even stopped to look at it.
I tell myself it's too early or too late in the day . Maybe some time in the near future.

Kubotas are funny this way. My Bx23s with the back hoe also has the same thing where the stabilizers can be pulled all the way up and pneumatic strut can strike the deck of the back hoe and there is a warning about it. Why not just limit it....not a complaint, just an observation.
