I'd like to think I'm a pretty open-minded guy. I can't tell you how many times I've been at work around a skid steer with auger attachment and never put two and two together. After watching that video it's like how the f*** did I never think of that.

Well, I finally got spark back on my '55 Ford 640. Battery, plugs, and plug wires. Those were old and needed replaced anyways. Coil because I was getting funky readings (turned out bad dmm wire). And finally ignition module because nothing else gave me spark back.
The only problem, she still won't run. She will try to start and spit and sputter for 1-2 seconds then die. #1 almost TDC with rotor on #1 post. If I advance or retard it a couple degrees it doesn't even try to start.
I found the gas gas a very weak smell. When I dump the fuel bowl on the ground and light it, it burns but not as violent as I'd expect with lighting it immediately. Tomorrow, I am going to test the gas for ethanol and water (which I am seeing a bit of clouding and separation in the fuel bowl).
Who knows, maybe the world gave me a FU and took out my ign module at the same time as the bad gas hit after I dumped a fresh 5 gallons in it from a can.

On a lighter note, I can't leave good enough alone. Adding a fan to the Kubota. I'll set it up as a puller so it blows straight down. Going to wire it to the 12v plug in the glove box.

That fan on the canopy is a good idea, I could have used that bush hogging many times!!!

That is a nice machine as well, if I tried that with mine it would probably flip it cause it's not big enough for something like that

    Hi guys,

I have a 'baby garden tractor' question. It's on my 2001-ish crapsman GT ( no numbers after the GT) Hydrostatic, V twin Kohler 46" deck.

It will turn a stupid sharp left hand turn and it needs 2X the space to make right hand turns. When the wheels are pointing straight ahead, it looks like the steering gear is pretty much centered on the rack gear. ( Sorry if I'm not using the correct terms for the steering gear parts)

Did these rigs just turn very sharp to the left in order to get the edge of the cutting deck close to obstacles or is something amiss?

Have y'all ever used this stuff? My buddy's wife's brother swears by it... and he managed to get my seized toplink freed up (after I gave up and bought a new one). His dad used to own a welding and metal fab shop, and he's good with working with metal.
Anyway, I bought two cans of this pricey stuff... one for me and one for my buddy..

Never used the stuff myself but I heard good things about it. I personally use the PB Blaster penetrant but I got some pretty big fuckin hammers and wrenches and torches and plasma cutters so no flimsy top link is stupid enough to try my patience

Yep always got free at work. Awesome stuff in air tools & nut soaking.

That's a fancy new can style though. We always had those old orange cans that leak off the propellent cause the stuff is so penetrating it cant even keep the aerosol in the can.

I have heard of it and that it works but not used it myself. Check out this YouTube channel for testing of penetrating oils and how well they work. The guy does a great job with product evaluations.

Yikes!! Kroil was the WORST performer in that guy's test. I guess that serves to CONFIRM what I had been thinking. Me and my buddy LOOSENED the thing before the wife's brother ever got his grubby hands on it.. :D:D:D

I like that he does the testing for many things in a practical way for application and that he's not sponsored (according to him). I'm so tired of these so called "influencers" who are basically straight up lying and spewing such bs. Go get a real job I want to tell them. Just because there are a few who are very successful doesn't mean you get to ride off their coat tails and think you are too. For every 1 successful influencer there are probably 478,081 others who fail. ok...off my soapbox. Sorry for the rant. I just happen to notice I get suggestions now that include those from influencers and I personally think they're all just losers that don't want to get a job but want to tell others what to do. It's not generational....it's ego maybe.
