I still don't think it's my tractor. The exploded diagram is showing the gas cap as being on the left fender ( item 138 if I'm seeing it right) My gas cap is in the center of the rear deck right behind the seat back. The model that you're showing me is definately very similar. I used Sears 917-27308 from the descriptions on all tractor data and when I downloaded the owners manual pdf, it looked exactly like my old rig.

I got the deck rebuild kit yesterday so when I got home this morning I went right to work. The pulleys in the kit were wrong ( too big in diameter) but at least I could reuse the old ones, they were still in decent shape. The kit came with a new drive belt for the blades but not the belt that goes to the crank pulley, so after decoding the sears p/n into something useable with a size, I boogied down to Tractor Supply and got a generic belt for $20, it seemed to fit fine. After I got everything buttoned I went for a pass through the back yard and decided that I should just cut the whole lawn.

The new blades made a massive difference and the deck was pretty quiet/vibration free. This mower now cuts pretty well, I'll have to keep it around for a while.

You can see that the new pulleys were about an inch larger in diameter than the old ones.

Yea I’m thinking of some small blocks of wood to put under the lip and press it up there with the silicon applied. The blocks will be screwed into the side panels of the cabinet to secure it so it doesn’t go anywhere. Afterwards if someone wants to remove it or whatever they just unscrew the blocks. I will look into the kitchen silicon and get it going. I’ll just use a 2x4 under the sink to press it up or my bottle jack. The biggest challenge will be to lower the sink enough to apply the sealant thoroughly. It’s a pretty big sink and has a huge volume so no one wants all that to come crashing down. It’ll scare the hell outta the wife lol

Those sheet metal sinks are not that heavy. Not like the cast iron, or the cast ceramic.
