I posted the after picture last week of the clean up after having the electrical trenched out to my garage. Don’t have a before pic, but here’s halfway through the clean up. You can see a pile of clay in the background by the small chainlink dog run that we're going to repurpose as an enclosure for a couple of raised garden beds. Gotta keep the deer out of the vegetable patch somehow. You can also see the mess in the driveway and on the grass adjacent to the drive. I would guess that I moved 25 to 30 yards of clay with that little Kubota. Very impressed with how capable these subcompact tractors are.

Really that's pretty much every modern tractor. 3 point backhoes put a TON of torque on the frames, and there's no way to get all of the slop out of a 3 point hitch, which makes it worse. The ones that are 3 point mounted usually come with 2 other stabilizers that bolt directly to the frame to help distribute the load because of it. Suframe is the way to go, unless you're bolting it onto an old tractor with the huge castings they used to use.

You can teach an old dog new tricks!
I’m waiting to try winding it tighter next time to hopefully avoid the bedding of the string in the spool. Luckily, things aren’t growing as quickly now.

Nice. Ours don't go on ice for another couple of months. I'm kind of worried they won't fit in the scalder.

No, it's that everybody and their brother decided that this was the year to raise their own pigs, chickens, etc.
So the guy that does our slaughtering and smoking for us is so backed up that our usual November appointment was already booked when we called in June. So we're scheduled for the first week of January instead.

Friend of mine has cows and he said the places around here are backed up over a year.

It was the same thing with seeds this spring. I put my seed order in with Johnny's in February, and when I logged back in at the beginning of March to fill in some gaps they had already sold out of everything.

Buddy does it on the side, he is busy as hell people just found him and had 3 that their regular butcher couldn’t do, they are 600 lb. now with hunting season all the butchers will be packed. Wish I had the cold storage for beef. Just thankful I learned how to process them all my self. Takes time but worth it
