First image is a homemade 600lb counterweight and just us cutting up a fallen tree only to split and stack a other day.

I so need to do this for mine, having the box blade hanging off the back gets hairy at times, a lot of open mass behind and sides to keep track of in close quarters.

This was a hammerhead plate that then was fit to brother joes tractor. Was weighed first thing this morning at 600lbs. Definitely a must with a loader. Like the slim fit cuz it doesn’t get in the way of anything . Max counterweight for the b2230 happens to be 600lbs! Like someone knew what they were doing ;-) note: was not done by myself... someone joe works with helped him fab it up. Also the little stand thing in the back if you notice helps when you disconnect it, it’ll stand by itself!

I noticed the stand on the rear, figured that’s what it was for.
I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a forklift carriage I can do similar with, but remove the forks as needed to just have the ballast of the carriage.

There’s also a big “D” ring welded to the top of it to move it around with the loader.... we would of hand to put the Rototiller attachment on the back of it for the counterweight but this came just in time

A loaded bucket of #57 stone is well balanced with my 60” box blade, but the width of the box makes it tough to maneuver in tight quarters. Great for covering the track width of the tractor, not so much for maneuverability.

My husband borrowed my tractor at his house for the summer. I finally brought her back home last week. Gotta top the tank off, grease everything up, then trenching 120’ to install 2” conduit today so I can pull a service feed to the garage from the meter finally. The day after I brought it home my dad (lives next to me) stole it and returned it with an empty tank. Payback from my teenage years im sure. Well played, pops.
    I missed this thing!
And it matches my Tundra.. very important

Anyone got any knowledge in Husqvarna chainsaws?? I want a new one and brother joe had a husky 500xp markII . 11 lbs and enough power to get through about anything we’ll come in contact with. 599.00 though. Went to my local ace hardware where I like to support the local family people and they were out of them! They claim the local tree company’s scarf them up mostly. They had a husky 555 which was a whole other beast.... 13lbs 60cc . Rebate they had on it made it almost the same price as the 550. But I’m sure those 2 extra lbs probably aren’t so user friendly. Both were 20” bars.

anyway my thoughts were to order the 550 which then joe and I could use the same chains and parts if needed and probably make for easier saw life....

I have a husky 440 which ran great until lately.... sounds like it developed an air leak when hot.... I’m the one that takes the limbs off cuz of the smaller and lighter saw.... thoughts

Husqvarna makes good saws. I’ve got a 51 I’ve had for 25+ years. I’ve also got two stihls. I like the stihls better but we have better support for stihl around here if needed.
