Luckily, we got it free from CAT! Last cutting edge broke, they guarantee their ground engaging tools. Surprising because this is an old machine.

I was able to just torch off the nuts and hammer the bolts out of the old one. That saved me a ton of time!

Wow, I would NOT have expected that at all. Really nice they stand behind their stuff that well.

Started my day off to a beautiful sunrise. Cut hauled and split some wood. Could of used help but flew solo. Just enjoyed being out in nature and watching them red tails sitting in them trees above me and fly around.... big suckers they are. Bunch of blue birds and jays out today. Pleated wood pecker was a couple trees away and a red breasted one was a tree next to me while I took a Lunch break. 52C9DD10-D695-4758-BDB5-0A1E5D9BF371.jpg C0AEA707-1E2C-47EF-A44F-AE8AD87BED44.jpg FA6D9019-AAB5-49B1-9BA3-965984DE0DF5.jpg FCCB1CFF-F6D8-4262-9D5A-0027DB60F8AB.jpg

Some idiot (me) drove over a huge root and spent the morning with the wife digging 2 holes under the mower so I could unbolt the blades.

Best fix for this I’ve found is a piece of pvc pipe. I’ve used 2in, cut through one side completely lengthwise and slide it over the cutting edge. Gravel stay’s intact and leaves about 1/2 of snow on top

A friend of mine just cut a slot in an 8" bollard for me. My tractor is currently at his place as we've been digging in water lines to install automatic waterers for his horses. When I get it back, we'll see if I can figure out how to attach it. Thought about just welding it to the cutting edge, but I can't find a replacement cutting edge for the plow so I might see if I can come up with something less permanent.
Fun fact. Apparently the steel in a bollard is in some kind of a bind. He had a big scrape on his nose and when I asked him how it happened, he showed me this picture
Said it was like getting punched in the face. Bloodied his nose and made his eyes water.

Took down 2 trees which were just not necessary. Wish I had a 3pt chipper but the forks hauling to the every growing brush pile it was. BDCD4E45-1E78-4794-AD3E-83B103A518C4.jpg 732FDB1C-BC97-490C-8CC7-476935F3E5E4.jpg

:thumbsup:Ended up going to brother joes this afternoon. 72 degrees is not my chainsaw preferred temperature but what a beautiful day it was. Gots lots of splitting to do.... once that split, back at cleaning up more fallen trees and repeat. Oh picked up the new husky 550 last night and ran a tank through it today... what a nice saw 512F37FE-8965-4ED1-B8A5-C82D71E2DB6F.jpgEE99696C-7B4F-474E-ADFF-77571A17DF07.jpgE9DD8C12-BDBC-48AA-AC76-272861BD30BA.jpg5F40CFE6-BB8B-4B98-A3F7-1568DE8D5E81.jpg

Putting a drive thru gate in my back yard so I can push leaves down in the holler behind my house. Clearing all the scrub trees out behind it with my trimmer with brush blade mounted. I took down several 20ft tall, 5" thick trees.

Got my posts set and am gonna let the crete dry another day before hanging the gates. My chihuahua helped dig post holes.

Older pic of the weedeater but shows what I'm cutting with it.

Got some rain today and looks to be into tomorrow as well.... :-/ been on the warmer side for this time of year... 70 plus for the last 6 days.. mid 50’s next couple days. Felt weird sweating at work today in mid November. Hope all is well in the tractor thread. Kinda miss the pics of what you guys have done in the garage and what not.
