might trade my 2015 SR5 for a 2019 TRD off road with tech package. Having the dealer add 5100’s to the front to level it, fuel vector wheels +7 offset with nitto ridge grapplers, bed cover and nFab rock rails (protect the sides from sticks that kick up on my hunting land).

Looks like the loan would be 16grand after trade. Thoughts and opinions if that’s a good deal for the upgrades?

Nope keep the 2nd Gen, that's all I can add. Until they do something with that ugly ass front grill, I'll never buy one. Yes you can put a Pro Grill on it, still makes the face look to big on the front of the truck. But it's your money and you do what will make you happy.

might have to post a few
more details... how much is the new truck? does the 16 grand you’re financing include everything out the door? Parts, labor, wheels, tires? How about a down payment?

    Just not enough info...

Are you supplying the parts or is the dealer getting them? If the dealer is getting them then you are getting charged a markup on those. Plus you could save more by doing the installs yourself if you are capable. Probably at a minimum 1500 dollars labor with those installs at a dealer labor rate.
    Just something to look at.

Looks to me from this link everyone is dumping 2nds. Sales are insane compared to dated looking 2nd in past years, especially the interior designed 15 years ago.

No down payment on the 16 grand. Truck without negotiating is 34500 and the extras (through dealer) are 5,000 which will be in the loan so that’s the positive of them doing it (Rock rails 500ish, wheels 3100ish with tires, trifecta 2.0 cover $435, front 5100’s are $750ish). Might pay a little more there but it comes done, under warranty and in my loan instead of out of pocket. Those prices are labor and all. My trade is 23,000. That’s before taxes.

My plan is to get them to get me down $2000 more or include the platinum coverage for the 16grand.

Looked at that. 600 difference without mount and balance. Flip side is they put it in the loan so it’s not out of pocket. Covered in warranty since dealer is doing it. So it’s a little extra but has benefits too. Good input though! Trying to weigh all that in before I talk this morning

    Fuel vector 17x8.5 wheels $800
Nitro Ridge Grapler tires 265/70/17 $880
    Bilstein 5100s $175
    Nfab rock rails $470
    Trifecta 2.0 cover $400

    Total without install $2725.

Wheels and tires bought as a package should be installed free. Nfab steps are a 30min job at home. Bed cover maybe 30min to an hour at home. So basically you are paying the dealer $2275 to install 5100s. Which installed outside of the deal do not void warranty at all.

Good luck with your plan. Personally, I'd wait for the 2020 model.

3" lift on 33 inch Nitto's with 18" Fuel wheels. N-Fab step bars. Husky floor liners.
Yours must be a pre runner. My 2015 TRD Sport is worth more now than when I bought it 30 plus easy. If you are just wanting to step up to four wheel drive I might understand what your intensions are but other than that I think you will wish you had kept your truck. Yea the new ones have fancy new features and what not but that 3.5 has nothing on our 4.0. That new body style to me looks like a Chevy Colorado. I get the two mixed up all the time. A Tacoma has all ways been distinct to me. You knew the second you saw one coming what it was from any angle but not the 3rd's. A Tacoma and a Silverado had sex and they had a bastard child. LOL.

3100ish (as you stated) for those wheels and tires, is just crazy.

Plus with it being rolled into the loan, you are now paying interest on that cost.:spending:

Take out extras. 32-34500 a good range for 2019 off road with tech package?

Yea I have a 2015 TRD Sport too, 4x4. I paid $32,500 for it brand new and it’s probably worth like $45-50k now.
