Okay bud. I just test drove a clean 2014 with 41k TRDOR 4wd with jbl (rare on 2nd gen), Toyota certified at $26721 at a dealer.
    Keep living in fantasy world.

Stop perpetuating this statement. My third gen did not have any issues 3 years after my purchase date and still going strong. I brought my second Gen in for a number of recalls including some seatbelt issue... Some of just upgraded because we wanted to. No one hates the second gen. Just be happy with your truck and stop with this 2015 vs every one else b.s. Its. getting. OLD!

OK OK just did some checking around and unless someone just had to have it the best I could get would be around 27 or 28 on a good day. Damn it man. Anyway I don't plan on selling it and the 3 g's are starting to grow on me a little. I wont rule out owning one if something happens to mine one day and that ain't no April fools.

Tacomas hold value and all but there are tons and tons of them around. They sold like free beer at a hockey game for the last decade, so it's not that rare or hard to find clean ones for a reasonable (for a Tacoma) price.

Agreed, Tacomas hold an insane value. In 2017 I paid 34k for my 2017 sport 4x4. Now it has 8000k miles and the dealership offered me 31k for it. But I like Android auto/CarPlay and I'm waiting for the 2020'

Just went from a 2015 to a 2019 literally a week ago. If my 15 had been 4wd or I still lived in Fl I'd most likely still have it. I liked my 2nd gen but it wasn't perfect. That thing had as many squeaks after a few thousand miles as my 04 did with 140,000. I made it thru my first two NY winters with it and decided to get back into a 4wd. I did kind of enjoy the reaction I got when i told people it was 2wd.

    Too few to list.
Wow, all these pages about 2nd Gen vs 3rd. I've owned all 3 Generations of Tacomas and even pre-tacomas. I liked all of them. I've had the 1st Gen simultaneously with the 2nd Gen, and 2nd Gen simultaneously with the 3rd Gen. I completely agree, 3rd Gen has the best interior and it should, it's the newest Gen. For simplicity and reliability, can't beat a 1st Gen. As for power, it has never been a selling point on any Tacoma. I ultimately got rid of the 3rd Gen, it was the 6 speed auto that did it. If I was to get another, it will be manual though I'd get a 4Runner before another 3rd Gen. Powerwise I felt it was equal to the 2nd Gen but I've never towed with it.

To the OP, get what you want. It's your money.

No worries dude, I've had a few Tacomas and stationed all over (7, yes I have a problem), pretty familar with the market. But still $28k for a 5 year old truck that you probably paid $31-32k for, thats still some damn good resale.

WOW!! This thread is entertaining at ~7am....:angrygirl: . In December 2016 - I test drove a used 2015 MT with some miles cant remember 20 to 30k, then test drove my 2017 Mt Sport. No brainier, spent the extra 4 to 5 thousand and came home with the 2017. OP, enjoy your new truck and lets these kiddos bicker over the internet.:playball:
