What are the requirements for UT?

 

If I had a way to pay back the money I borrowed for the down payment on my 4Runner without selling the 1st gen I would drive to Colorado this weekend.

 

Ah... sell your 1st gen with a flatbed

 

You have to have more tire coverage I think, and mud flaps, how's the gas house fastened?

 

As awesome as I think a flatbed is, I think that would kill my available market.

 

Fenders could be fabricated, as could some of those fancy detachable flaps if you wanted.

Not sure what it'd look like to have fenders with the flatbed, though.

 

I was thinking fiberglass bedsides...

 

That was something I had thought of a time or two as well. Not my style, but from what I gather, it might not be too difficult to retrofit some 'glass mounts onto this. It'd be like the most useful glassed bed!

Oh, yeah, gas neck. Just the stock filler neck bolted to the factory position, the only change I had to make for it to work, was to bend the tab that's welded to the frame from the factory, down just a bit. I've thought about coming up with a more eloquent solution, but haven't had the time or motivation.

 

Could even come use those hood pins, so when you go to tighter trails, you just pop them off so they don't get crunched on rocks.

 

What is your definition of rust and dent free? 100%?

Like 80-90%, it'd be getting repainted and bed lined, just don't want like a gaping rust hole

YO i have an 04 bed with the flares and trd decals but the bed does have a couple of dents and scratches if you get tired of trying to find someone let me know maybe we can work out a deal where ill pay to get it fixed for you or something i live in albuquerque NM so contact me if you want to
