Trade a truck just to get different color?

Any ever traded their truck after less than a year just to get a different color? After having my 2015 for 6 months, I can't stand the magnetic gray. Just wondering if I'm the only person crazy enough to have considered this?

Life's too short to "can't stand" something. IMHO do what you need to. It's not like it's a person or pet. Perhaps place an ad and maybe someone near you doesn't like the color of theirs or likes yours better.

I hate to admit it, but I traded a truck because I hated the color. I had a black truck which I traded in for a blue truck within the first six months. Lost money on that deal, but was a lot happier with the blue.

I settled on colors before. My Outback was harvest gold metallic. I joked about it being "senior citizen gold," and I was never really crazy about it.

Won't make that mistake again...this time I didn't settle. Part of the reason I wanted my truck is the color (pyrite mica). Pyrite mica, spruce mica, and mag gray are the only colors I would have considered.

You have to like you vehicle. Whats worse, paying for one you don't like or paying a bit more for one you do ?
Personal choice, I say if it's affordable, do it.

I'm also curious how you ended up with the color you have now.

I had the same experience. Not with my truck, but with a hooker on 83rd street in indianapolis.
I had a bacon colored condom and from the get go,I could tell this was not going to be like any other nite.
She said "Natural or dark" or the deal was off. "NO bacon colored condoms".
I pocketed my cash and eventually found a prostitute who didn't mind bacon colored condoms.
Sure it cost me a few $$ looking for that "Specific" whore that would take bacon colored condoms but had I SEARCHED ahead of time and looked at the ratio of whores who took bacon colored condoms over natural or dark, I could have saved alot of time and money.

It looks different depending on what light it's in. Looked at it in the late afternoon/early evening. Was a nice dark gray in that light. Put it in bright sunlight and it has a purple-ish look to it...at least to me it does.

A factory equivalent paint job is $$$, probably about even to what he would lose on the trade.
