Trade auto for a maual

Yep.
I bought mine from a dealer 600 miles away because I wouldn't settle for an auto.

 

Waiting to see the first MT Taco on Barrett-Jackson...Hell, might even bid

I had a Hyundai with a Pushbutton start and a MT.

 

They are still 1500 cheaper. Look up invoice prices on them.

 

Since we're on the topic of silly stuff Toyota withholds on the Tacoma, the new Carolla has a optional power drivers seat...

 

5 speed is only available on the 4cyl. 6 speed in the v6.

The Purpose for the Key on the Manual is so that you can use the Clutch Cancel Switch.

Toyota would probably sell even more Manuals if they made more of them available.

 

Had both, manual is definitely worth it, even if you have to trade.

 

If they sold nothing but manuals like they used to I bet they would still sell them all.

 

I don't get the allure of power seats, they are so much slower. I almost never adjust my seat anyway.

Trade to manual ASAP.
Sooner you do, less $$ you would lose and more you would enjoy driving a Taco.
And that will be the wisest decision you would ever make anything 3rd gen Taco related.
Also, if your budget allows, get a V6. You wouldn't lose much MPG maybe 1-2 at the most.

 

Not to mention it is just more expensive parts to break down the line.
