No sir. If we let you get away with it we'll have to let everyone get away with it.

You get a week's detention and you have to clean the black boards everyday.

Lines, don't forget writing out lines.

If I had his money about now, I'd burn mine. Then I'd move somewhere nice and warm, buy a beach chair, half a coconut, fill it with rum and dry ice for the volcano effect, then insert a straw and a little fucking umbrella.

Flip-flops on the sand would be my means of transportation, that is if I was sober enough to walk.

    OP. Do what you want.

As far as the 400K salary. What we don't know ( and don't care) is how much is the person is in debt? As far as we know he could be one paycheck away from being broke/bankrupt.

hell I got a 16 sport 4x4 dbl cb because I didn't want to wait 4 months and get the one I wanted so a Sport in quick sand showed up with tech without JBL and I took it. Went off road yesterday and wish id ordered the OR and waited but oh well. I dont have a 400K yr job but can afford to swap if I choose too but only thing that makes the difference is the harder off road I may want to start doing. That said my sport did very well no issues yesterday but there was a couple areas id like to went but didn't feel comfortable without locking diff. I would get exact same truck and color but add JBL and go OR. I figure I could trade for $5k is my guess but dont know if I will and may wait till 17 model then do it maybe. Only bad thing is I want to lift and put 285s on and that will cost another 6K by time I get it all done so I will have to keep my sport stock because if I lift it I am keeping it. At 400k a yr id already had one on order coming in and wouldn't even think about it.

you make $400k a year but said you can pick up "extra shifts" to pay for your hit if you trade in your Limited??

Since you have 3 kids that you squeeze in the back seat, you may want to think about trading up for a Tundra in another 3-5 months.. Kids, they grow like weeds.

    Thx for the morning chuckle.

    Still nobody cares.

I thought this was a question about trucks.

Go get whatever you want and afterwards, post pics.

Then don't forget ever that nobody cares what anyone does for a living or how long they went to school for, what they make, who they fuck, who fucks them, boxers or briefs, etc,. and generally, anyone who insists on talking about it pretty much get no respect here and win multiple douche awards.

    As you can see.

With 400k/year you should be looking at a G65, LX570, Land Cruiser or Range Rover. If you really need a truck bed, get a '17 Raptor.

And you say 300k student loans, still paying it off? Wtf? You make more than the whole loan in 1 year... Why haven't you paid it off?

Not really. Money lets you have a larger field of options but it doesn't dictate what you drive.

My uncle has a similar tale to the OP as far as education/income goes - worked for NASA, then designed artificial joints, then went into cancer research.. he drove (and absolutely loved) his VW new Beetle turbo and it's probably 10 years old if not more.

He kept my late aunts car for road trips with the dog, which was a Honda Accord wagon from the mid 90s.

Nobody gets rich by spending all of their money.

True but spending a quarter of 1 years income on a vehicle is far from financially irresponsible granted no debt and other major expenses.

Maybe OP has debts though which I eluded he should clear those first and foremost.

    Nobody said what was responsible.

Just that you can have a guy in a brand new Range Rover and he is broke as shit just trying to make his payments and renting a studio apartment somewhere, and a guy driving the 20 year old Corolla could be a millionaire 10 times over.

I did, just as a point of discussion but okay.

And yeah some people don't care about cars and would drive a corolla with all the money in the world. They also wouldn't be on this forum of enthusiasts.

You live in Philly and make $400k/ year and your asking us what we'd do? Ha! Dude, just get the truck you really want, regardless of what the financial hit will be. I think you can afford it, not lose sleep over it and still be able to feed the family. Personally though, Id' keep the Limited if I lived in Philly (where Im originally from). I think you're fooling yourself if you think you'll really be able to have the time to really take that OR off-road much. You do have three kids, and I'm guessing they take up a ton of your time, along with whatever it is you do for a living! But again, your bank rolling, so do what makes you happy!

Forget all these people telling u about your 400k. U went to school a long time and lot of hard work and obviously some debt to go through it all. Id say it shouldn't cost u more than $5k trade difference and maybe less. Just give them the $5k cash no difference than many spending $5 to $8k om lifts tires wheels lights covers ect. If you really want the or then take the hit now and consider it a lift and tires. Like I said I did same thing and took the sport instead of ordering and waiting 4 months . My choice and I'm wishing id waited now because I love my sport in quick sand more and more daily. Wouldn't of realized how much I like this truck if id ordered and for 4 months if probably took another color or something later anyway because I wanted the Tacoma over my big tundra. That said I wont hesitate to order and swap if I decide too because i know I want the Tacoma so just matter of do a really need that locking diff. Will I go off road that extreme to really need it or will normal 4x4 do more than I need the way it is. I went though some ugly stuff yesterday and had no problem. Just a mind game of if I did I would have it. I haven't decided yet because I got everything except jbl and Off road features. I mainly just will be running to back woods area to fish and stuff and pulling boat to river and lakes and commuting. So grt it now if u want it and order it and trade when it arrives
