This is what I have now
    [IMG]
    35,000 miles

I Love my truck but I need more Room!

I want to trade it in for a 2010 Double Cab Long Bed, I want a 6 speed manual like what I have, but it seems they don't offer a 6 speed if you get the DC LB. Am I wrong? I have never seen one.

What has changed from a 2006 to a 2010 besides the backup camera and the new color options?

I’m leaning a little toward the sport package but I am still considering the off road. (I did use my locker quite a few times)

I want the Magnetic Grey color but I’m afraid it will be hard to keep clean and show scratches easily

I’m not sure how much the dealer will give me for mine but I’m thinking I’ll be paying around $8000-$10000 when all is said and done. (Could be way off though)

    What do you guys think?

Only you can make the decision but I've been leaning toward trading for a DC myself (though more just to get 4x4 and out of prerunner). I would recommend going the off road if you do any wheeling cause the locker is invaluable. You can swap the grill out for around 2 bills and be color matched, then another 3-4 bills for the rear bumper... and you've pretty much got a sport trim minus the scoop (and a few minor trim pieces).

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
There is no such thing as a long bed Tacoma with a 6 speed manual tranny.

There is also no such thing as a long bed Tacoma with the TRD Off Road package.

If you want the LB, you'll have to get the auto tranny... If you want a TRD package on your LB, your only option is the Sport.

    Exactly^^^

I was in the similar situation, I wanted the Access cab at first, then wanted a DC LB, but ended up with the DC SB because of the shorter wheelbase and the rear locker which is GOLD. I bought the truck so that I can have it for off road use as well as an everyday driver. I figure if I need to haul really big things then I can get a trailer or ask a friend with a bigger truck. Before this truck I had a Tundra with an 8 ft bed.

    Good luck with your decision.

I guess that solves two of my decisions. Ill have to sacrifice the 6 speed and the Off Road just to have the long bed.:( Oh well the sport at least has a LSD. Probably wont be doing extreme wheelin with a DC LB anyways.

    Thanks for the Info!

You guys keep saying there's no DC LB 6MT... but I test drove one a few years back. It might have been a custom order or something... I dunno but it was speedway blue, TRD OR... Should have bought it but I wasn't serious about looking back then :D

they've never made a TRD OR in DC LB...let alone anything to do w/ the tranny. only TRD ORs u can get are AC and DC SB...could have been a DC LB sr5 non-trd

Why do you need the long bed?

Are you hauling more in the cab or in the back of the truck?

I got the Off Road and wouldn't trade it for a sport just because it has the E-locker...I love just having this feature for "just in case" moments.

I saw one around Sep-Oct this year when I was first looking for my Tacoma. I saw a 09 white DCLB TRD sport with the 6 speed. This was at some San Jose, CA dealership.

I need long bed for hauling motorcycle's, camping stuff or whatever.
On occasion even the long bed is not big enough for all my junk when I go playing.

I need double cab so 3-5 people can ride fairly comfortable when going further than like 20 mile's. That's about as far as someone can ride in the access cab:(

I'm hoping I can get by with out the E-locker. The LSD might just have to do.

This was the cause of many sleepless nights for me. I needed the long bed yet really wanted manual and the TRD OR. I ended up crossing my fingers and buying the truck...that was about a year ago and I am very happy with it. The automatic transmission is pretty decent for a truck...not as good as the one in my wife's BMW, but far better than any other pickup I have experience with. As far as the TRD Sport, the tires are no better than the SR5, there is no diff lock, and the hood scoop is just silly. You will get the billies put on when the TSB is done, so I would save the money get go with an SR5 unless you really want the better seats (like I did :p). My $0.02.
