From what I have experienced extended warranties don’t transfer over to a new car or truck they have to be Canceled & a refund With a prorated amount is sent to you in the mail. If you want a new extended warranty on the new truck you must buy a new one at time of purchase at a New negotiated price in the finance department that’s how it usually works.FYi

Thanks man I appreciate everyone's comments on here but you can kind of relate with the whole theres something missing or my truck is lacking for my needs/wants. I was hoping for more comments and situations like this to chime in.

See what Carvana will give you first. I never buy extended warranties on any product. And I always pay cash. No payments since 1994. Yes I’m weird but my NW shows it works.

Carvana isn't showing the inflated market right now, its showing me precovid numbers. Thanks though

    Here’s another thing.
Depending on state law trading your vehicle can save you as much as $1,500 or so on sales tax. Probably won’t apply for California, New York, or Illinois residents. Check your dealer for details.

Can you sell your 2.7L now for an inflated price and drive something else until the Tacoma market calms down and then buy? I paid $33k for a 2020 DCSB TRD OR 4x4 in December and a buddy bought a 2019 DCSB TRD Sport for $32k.

    I had a 16 SR and a 17 SR5 with the 2.7

Pulled trailers all over the Midwest and east coast, never felt like they were dogs at all, esp with ECT mode engaged or even in S mode.

Granted, with the ac on I wasn't passing anyone on the freeway at 80mph lol

Edit: if some clown in a Chevy wasn't texting and driving and hadn't T- boned me at 50 mph, I'd still have my Inferno SR5 2.7L

I could but thats gonna be 5k for a decent vehicle I travel sometimes 100 miles a day for work and my winters up here can get pretty hairy im normally omw to a job site well before the plow truck drivers are even awake let alone on the streets. Its a difficult decision for sure.

I'm talking about hang a 17 foot 2800lb. Boat and trauler though. My buddy towed with his 6spmt and it was a nightmare at the boat launches between other people and just the launch itself

The 4th Gen will be a hybrid gutless 3-cylinder wonder (...why I bought this?), keep your money and the gas powered truck instead.

Lol you've never driven a hybrid anything have you?

Those electric motors have 100% torque on demand, instantly. Like a rocket off the line.

Applying that to a truck will be heavy, expensive.... And really effing cool in the performance department.

Hey if the deal seems right to you go for it, but see if they will get you a Sport AC with MT. :D
As for the V6, there are a lot of things you can do if the performance seems lacking. OV tune is popular. I went with a sprint booster and it feels like a fun truck to drive.
Could also try different brands. They say the Rangers Ecoboost is peppy and economical. Never hurts to try a Ridgeline.

    2.7

    See above posts :D

It's a strong little motor. Just not a fast one lol

My current Sport M/T with the 3.5 will move 5-6000 lbs no problemo.

Granted, it's more of a 4 speed, esp on long grades... Haven't towed with it since I got OVTune though.

Maybe you could use the other side of the hybrid equation.
