No way. Could you imagine that fuckery on any truck used to perform any kind of commercial business?

That car put me to sleep looking at it.

Well self opening/closing doors aren't for commercial. It's for a luxury vehicle.

The Cyber Truck, and the Alpha Wolf, both have automatic handles in all the rederings I have seen.

Amazon trucks currently running in L.A. don't have electric handles. They are commercial.

I don't think they would have electric door handles. I haven't seen a commercial grade Alpha Wolf.

I don't understand this thought, and it's been repeated a million times. When <automaker fill in the blank> starts selling EV's Tesla is getting its ass kicked. Why are they going to get their ass kicked? Is there a rule that only a certain number of EV's can be sold every year? Could it be that having multiple manufacturers just makes the market bigger and both companies sell EV's. I mean look at Ford, they kick the Tundras ass with their F150. But Toyota kicks the Rangers butt with the Tacoma. Yet drive on any road and Tundras, Rangers, F150's and Tacomas are every where.

Well electric handles wouldn't be anywhere close to a deal breaker for me. If that a big deal that's really nit picking.I plan to get a RVIAN or Toyota EV truck in the future. I can care less about the handles.

That thought is the same as saying that Polaroid and Kodak will dominate the digital photography market, as soon as they get into it.

I believe F-150's loyalty base and repeat buyers spur their popularity. Toyota owners keep their trucks longer because they last longer. I know 2 people with a 2019 and 2021 F-150 and they have been back for warranty work more times than they care to say.

If a manufacturer does not build a truck worthy of commerc, they are not a truck manufacturer.

You have to build a truck before you can build a luxury truck.

RIVIAN does build a commercial truck. For Amazon. They will supply the skateboard platform for Ford's F-150 EV. Commercial truck or not EV trucks are here. It's a different world and that thinking doesn't necessarily apply.

Those interior screens are there because of cost savings, and maybe a bit of the cool factor. Having a fleet of commercial vehicles in my group at work I know all too well the abuse they get. When the screen gets broken, because you know it's a when, not if. It would be repaired, the offending party would get a talking to, and some way to protect the screen from future damage would be devised. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker either.

We've been refreshing our fleet with Ford Transit vans to replace the 15 year old Chevy vans. The new vans are strippers compared to the ones on the show room floor. Two of my requirements were the new vans had to have remote electric locks and backup cameras. Not that that was a problem because you couldn't get them any other way. The guys need a quick and sure way to lock up thousand of dollars worth of tools and supplies. And backup cameras, so they might stop backing into things. From a business sense that electrification is absolutely required. Just one thwarted theft or one car not backed into more than pays for the electronic gadgetry.

OMG, this so makes my point! Tesla has loyal owners. Even if Ford and VW's new EV's are awesome (based on the reviews I seen, they're just ok) people would still buy Tesla.

Well basically when you buy a Ford Truck EV you're buying a RIVIAN with a Ford body on their drive systems.
