    Sure, Yep.

    Why are Tacoma sales down?

The new Toyota Tacoma sales numbers are still down in a big way mainly due to model changeover. Chevrolet and GMC midsize pickups are gaining in a big way. Take a look, Nissan Frontier is also gaining.Jul 9, 2024

If you are going to buy a genaric looking turbo piece of plastic you might as well buy the cheaper priced one.

None of which has any bearing on your previous post. The third gen is just as much of a plastic truck as the 4th or the other recent midsize. It just has a gutless engine to go along with it.

    Nobody wants one.

Based on published sales numbers Toyota has sold 44,183 fewer Tacomas so far this year compared to 2023. The first three months of the year were about 10k units short due to production delays which gives a realistic sales difference of around 14k trucks. November saw the most Tacomas sold, ever, of any generation in that month. That’s hardly “no one wants one” sales volume.

I get that you don’t like it (I don’t much either) but at least stick to the facts.

Can you expand on what the gimmicks and electronics the 3rd gen has that the 2nd gen doesn't? I'm curious.

Just the typical stuff that all newer cars have been getting pretty much. Blind spot, cross traffic, fancy traction control, radar cruise control, lane assist, fancy touchscreens, etc.

Should be no lane assist, think that only works with vehicles that have electric power steering.

Probably right. I guess lane alert, whatever it’s called when the truck starts beeping and stuff when you bounce off the lines.

I think I'm older than your average bear on this site.
    I love the lane-alert.

Fact is I don't think as fast as I used to. Anything that can keep me, and/or others, and most importantly the truck safe
    is worth it to me.

The sad thing is dealers won’t pay more than MSRP if you try and trade in or sell your rig.

Stop just shooting numbers. You sound like Toyota The Tacoma is freaking heavy. After 80k miles I’d like to see how this thing drives compared to a v6. I know a lot of people will start crying once their fancy Lexus truck starts developing piston slap.
