So I’ve started looking at a new Tacoma to replace my 2005 with 531,000 km on the odometer.

Question is what value remains from a trade in perspective?

Obviously with the high mileage no one is going to want to buy it to drive it but there’s lots of good parts on it. Not the least of which is a new frame.

I could park it and part it out. Is that what would likely happen to it if I left it with the dealer?

Is it in good enough shape and drivable still?

It’s in very good shape. I put 1000 km a week on it and drive it every day.

I don't know what trade in value would be. But the dealer might not give you much for it.
Might be worth it to keep it?

I don’t want to keep it. I can’t keep it. But I would like to see it go to a good home or at least parts of it.

Put it up for sale! don't assume that no one will want to buy it to drive if it is not a rot box and it starts right up go'es down the road without a shaking and rattling it will sell. dealer not going to give you anything to make it worth your time to even drive it there..... So be realistic about it put $3500 on it and see what takes place or even go higher.

It’s a TRD Sport DCLB from 2005. I’m going to drive it to the dealer anyway because it’s my daily driver. Maybe I’ll clean up the Doritos under the seat and see what they say. If I’m not happy, and the odds are I won’t be then I’ll list it here to start.

Katskinz leather and heated seats and heated side mirrors and a double din Kenwood stereo and Toyota took a decade to catch up to the upgrades that I learned how to do on this site.

I'm detecting a sniff..sounds AT from the config. Include me in the convo when the numbers become hardened. Were it an MT, well then we'd have a cockfight.

OK thanks. I need to find a vehicle for her soon lol. Her challenger doesn't handle the snow very well . I finally convinced her to look at new toyota last week. Now she wants either a new chr or a rav4. Where did I go wrong? She walked right past the new tacomas. Lmfao

It’s an AT. And I guess there’s sniffing now.

Here in the states it's only 270k. Miles. That truck still has value. Might be worth more than you think.

It’s a pretty nice truck. I’m going to ask for $7500 for it.

Even though the tailgate doesn’t match the rest of the truck.

I bought my 06 access caby off road with 243 000 in April for $7200 certified. I'd say you did very well getting 6 with the kilometers on your truck.
