I'm going the other direction, trading out my nearly new Civic Si for a Tacoma :) The used value on my Civic is higher than what I paid for it last August. :)

I like this thinking too. I always thought they were pretty cool looking too, it’s just the whole Ford Focus thing... then again I guess all those 4cyl turbos are just economy cars with some fancy parts

Those BMW-built Toyota Supra's are pretty sweet. Lease it for three years, trade it in on a 2024 Tacoma when done. Toyota Dealers don't know what too to with Graz, Austria built Supra's!

Rally car with a somewhat efficient motor. Until you tune it FBO and slap a meth kit on it. Some people have said that they are too stiff of a ride though. Buddy had one. I can see how you would dislike it if your putting in 50 miles a day on it in traffic. When your ripping it 100% worth it.

my only worry with a big v8 is that there is just too much power for me, I used to own liter bikes and 600s and they’re a blast but I was constantly flirting with prison time on that thing. My supermoto is not nearly as fast, but it’s arguably as fun and I don’t think it can even break 100mph lol

Fun for a time, not for a long time. Had one for about a year, my best friend runs an auto shop and I'm pretty sure it spent more time there than at my house. I bought it used with about 60k, traded it in at 70k. Sooooo many problems. In it's defense, the engine purred, and it ran like hell...some of the time! Don't regret getting rid of it, fix or repair daily holds pretty true with those.

Thats news to me, my Buddy got it new last year they were made. Anyone who buys that car better rip on it otherwise its going to waste so I can see how 60k on it would have some reliability issues.

Didn't know there was ever such a thing.

RCI sliders, RCI front skid, RCI trans skid, Bridgestone Revo 3 AT, OTT tune, Fox 2.0 rear, Front Summo springs, Truxport roll up bed cover, Tekonsha P3, Meso total tails, rear diff breather relocate. JCW front bumper, Apex 12k winch, bar light. Alpine ILX 507, Kicker DX speakers, amber grill light bar, yellow LED fogs, LED headlights, bed mat, bed lights, front camera, rock lights, dash cam, seat jackers, recovery gear, Overland Equipment Aux fuse kit, C4 bumber braces.
I would get a Civic type R. Handling is remarkable, 305 HP. A few simple mods and a tune nets much more HP.

I prefer cars that corner well over more powerful straight line tanks.

I don't think I could get rid of my '19 Taco. My wife now daily drives my old 05 STI which she took over when I bought the tacoma. If I ever wanted to scratch that itch, I could just drive the STI, but yet again only if she lets me lol

I also had a problem with swapping vehicles until recently. Back in December I traded my Taco for a 2013 STI with low miles. The first day of owning the STI it was already giving me issues. ABS light kept coming on and a strong burning oil smell was coming from the engine bay. Fairly normal for the EJ engines to burn oil but I knew immediately that it was due to leaking valve covers. Went back the next day and returned the vehicle and got my taco back.

The week after that, I attempted to trade it in for a low mileage one owner Golf R. Although the Golf R was definitely a step up interior wise from the STI and was super fun to drive, the size of it was not convincing for me.

After not having the taco for those 2 days that I was stuck with the STI, I knew that keeping taco was what made me the happiest. I'm definitely thinking of picking up a toy once my taco has been paid off. I think the only sports cars I would consider would be the following:

    - Shelby GT350 or GT
    - Toyota Supra
    - Lexus ISF

Interior on the Golf R will be the nicest of any of the hot hatches. Had a GLI which is a Jetta with GTI motor and every option you could get. Leather buckets were great, sound system second to none, and apple carplay was nice to have. Ram 1500 decided his front bumper should hit my B pillar going 70 though... I was at a standstill waiting for green light, he got off highway. Center of his bumper directly on the B pillar. Walked away with only a knee dislocation that was quickly fixed. VW's are super safe and I will own another later on.

I resemble this remark. I’ve owned Subaru WRXs or STIs for the last 20 years, I realized I didn’t drive them hard anymore and sold my 2016 WRX and bought a Tacoma to camp (not overland) and haul my bicycles and motorcycles around.

I do too ;) Started with a Subaru Justy, then Outback, then WRX. My last WRX was a 16 as well. But always had Tacomas on the side. Great compliment vehicle. Tired of the Tier 3 quality of Subarus. Am done with them
