    Well All,
I cashed in my chips this week for a 2012 Jetta TDI. The 15 US MPG (17 Imp MPG) was not cutting it anymore. I drive too much still and just need to save some money. I will miss my Taco and can see myself getting another one once life slows down a bit. My hobbies will take a bit of a hit with the car... but such is life.
Huge thanks to everyone who contributes here. This is one of the best sites out there!

I sold my 2010 2.5 Golf last September to buy my 2011 Tacoma. I ain't going to lie, there are times that I do really miss my Golf. I don't regret getting my truck because I love my truck. Sometimes I just wanna have a VW to drive around, I always found them to be fun and unique in their own way. There are times that I think to buy a used one to drive, fix up etc. My wallet is telling me no though.

No kidding, repair bills FAR exceeded the fuel savings on my old TDI.

OP, hope you have better luck than anyone I know with VW/Audi

OME up front, Dakar in the back, Elite front bumper, Warn winch, Tactical rear bumper with tire swing/jerry cans/hi lift, Revenge Fab. sliders, Tundra brakes, Camburg UCA's, Safari Snorkle, FJ TRD wheels, Lights, CB, Switches, skids, LED's... OH MY!
i did the same thing a few years ago except i got the very dependable ALH engine in the 2003... 47mpg highway were pretty sweet. then i got a work vehicle and no longer had a commute so i sold her and got my truck back. here she is right before selling....

    definitely a fun car:
