Just traded my 2010 Sport Access Cab for a 2016 Sport Access Cab. Got the Premium Technology Package as well as OEM chrome tube steps and tri-fold tonneau cover. Dealer gave me the tonneau cover at not cost. Pics are posted in my main photo album.

It was hard to let go of the 2010, as it was a great truck. I'm slowly adjusting to the new one. Basically, I traded up because I wanted the newly designed interior with all the tech stuff. :)

    Thanks All,

I think, once I adjust to that "huge" chrome grille, I'll be fine. :)

Haven't really been a fan of the chrome grille on the '16's but yours looks good with the wheels and steps.

Just curious how much it would cost to add those tech goodies to a 2010?

Welcome to the 16! I really love mine but it is my first truck. How do you feel about going down to the 3.5? Does it feel like it has less power than your old one?

Yeah, neither am I. Although I must say I think the chrome looks best on the darker color bodies like black.

The sticker price on the Premium Technology Package was $1430, but that includes other "safety" features like blind spot monitoring and back up alarms among other things. I haven't researched multimedia head units extensively, but I think you're look at upwards of $1,000 for a good one.

I haven't driven it long enough to fully answer your question. In general, I don't drive my vehicles that aggressively. If I did, I would probably notice a boost difference under certain conditions. For most people and for most driving conditions, I think it's probably a mute point.

May I just add as a side note...

My first car (when I was in high school) was a 1949 Chevy Fastback (black) and, to the surprise of some of you perhaps, it had a push-button start. Granted, you needed a key to engage the battery, but after turning the battery on, you only needed to press a mechanical button to start to start the vehicle. Have we made progress in the last 60 years? Probably, but not much. LOL

The tech goodies that he got are mostly built in. It would be quite a chore to add them to a 2010.

Agreed. That's partly why I decided to just trade up.

That is nice! I don't think I've ever seen an Access Cab TRD Sport in black including 2nd Gen.
