Congrats on your Nissan. Before I ordered my 23 tacoma (any day now... fingers crossed) I looked at the Nissan Frontier. I'm an access cab guy and for some reason in the midwest everybody carries the DCSB, both Nissan and Toyota. Had the Nissan dealers in my area had a 4x4 access cab Frontier with the options I wanted I'd be driving one right now. My current Nissan has 150k miles on it and zero mechanical issues. The zero gravity seats are a God-send for long distance driving. Stick to a 5k synthetic oil change schedule and that engine will purr like a kitten for a long, long time.

There is not much price difference between the two...

    Congrats on the truck.

I always thought that my second gen Frontier was a really well thought out truck. Only real complaints I had about it in terms of design were the turning radius and rear back seat comfort of the crew cab.

I came pretty close to buying another one but part of the reason with going with the Tacoma was just to get something different.

If Nissan released the third gen just a couple of years earlier, I might've never left the Nissan family.

Don't know if things are the same with the third gen but hope you enjoy!

Congrats man. I don't think that the mark up will go away. They found a way to make more money and people are paying for it, so why go back to the old times.
I went to look at a Nissan last weekend. Very nice looking truck.
    enjoy

I hope the markups go away, but I think the manufacturers and the dealers have figured out a way to keep inventory low and prices high. They are controlling the movement of parts as well, so it might not go away for a bit.
