For these Tacomas what is needed if you add headers/CAI/Exhaust? as in does it need to be tuned by a tuner? i know when i added all these things to my goat i had to have it tuned. Or is that what the programmer is for? If not then i can just take the programmer out and see what the difference is. any suggestions?

If you got rid of your "power adders" you would get back up closer to 18-19 mpgs... I have a 3 inch lift and E rated 33 inch mud tires, and just banged out a tank of 18.5 mpg.

    Wasn't it a Tempest?

Nice truck, and yeah the mpg's sound about right, I only have 265's and I barely get 16.

Not much i can do about the headers....as i would have to buy a set of OEM ones. Im not worried about the exhaust or CAI. Its just the tires/headers/programmer

Not sure what tires are on. Just that they are A/T 285/70/17

As far as programmers APR-X1 if you can find one, or just go with the mKIII kit from urd and get close to 400 hp
