It doesn't mean the ford is better or the Toyota is either. All that video proves is the ford had more traction and applied the power better. I just thought it was a good clip. Y'all are so quick to be defensive. Geez...

To all that think I am Toyota badger remember I have had multiple tacomas. Just out grew them.

Atleast everyone is nicer than the ford forums between the Eco and 5.0 debate.

You know what I find funny? That the OP has been a member since May 2010, has 49 total posts, and 21 of them are in a thread that he bought a ford. Thanks for all your contributions to the TW community, good luck with the Ford. :jerkoff:

Figured I'd throw this in the foray...

It's a typical turbo torque graph. What you're seeing is the result of choosing a smaller exhaust turbine to bring the boost threshold to a lower engine speed. With any turbo engine, the torque is greatest when full boost is first developed. Any time after that you're observing what happens when airflow goes up through a turbine outlet that's a constant size. In other words, a flat torque curve is impossible on a turbocharged engine unless it's a sequential turbo setup, and even then it's not really 'flat.'

It is a nice truck. Although, I better bookmark that death wobble thing, that looks like a real pain in the butt!

Just noticed the twin turbo stickers... I was wondering if I'd ever see those on that. The red looks real good. Watch out though, guess what color the police look at first!

When I had an F150, I hung out on ford-trucks.com.

Now I have a tacoma, I fritter away spare moments here.

No hard feelings man, but you should go where your new ride will be appreciated.

I don't mind still hanging out in the Toyota forums. I still like Toyota and had a blast in my Tacoma. If toyota gets more power and economy out of their trucks I will come back in a few years.

I have checked out the ford forums but it is all eco vs 5.0 crap. They don't have near the info TW does.

They might use larger bolts, but they still cant figure out how to keep them attached to the vehicle.

I will say that TW has the most quality information on a particular brand or model vehicle I have ever seen.

Dude get the heck outta here with that crap. Your on a Toyota forum, we listened to you talk about your new ford but now trying to say how much "better" it is and rub it in our face is enough
