Well, was under the truck last week, thought it might be rusting a bit too fast....probably due to the fact i trailer my boat off and on salt water boat ramps. Also, smaller boat to tow now, the tacoma is a bit better off road, slightly better gas mileage, and under 80K miles mass. car dealers can offer a vehicle as "certified* which brings them more bucks, hence they offer you more in the trade in.....i got max. kelly bb for it, 14,500.

If it isn't broke why fix it. To this day I still love my 2002 Tacoma, 136K and counting.

I basically did the same thing and am very happy ... have owned several Tundras and Tacomas ... and I like the Tacoma the best for my needs.

    Defintely second that too !!!!

For the last two weekends I have been looking at the 2012 Tundra Crewmax Limited since Toyota has the 0% financing.

My problem is I do not want to give up the 6 speed manual in my Tacoma but after farting around with the Tundra...it is a KICK ASS truck...

    Keep the TUNDRA !!!!

No need for the V8 size or power, tundra seemed to be rusting underneath too fast, got a great deal on the trade in for the new Tacoma......and I just love new trucks ;)

Do you find the Taco much smaller than your Tundra?

Good thing you got a 2012. Would've been weird to see the same steering wheel and switchgear as your Tundra in a 2011.

Both the Tundra and Taco grew quite a bit between generations. The 2nd gen Taco should be closer in size to the 1st gen Tundra.
