That sounds like a good deal, but the paint job is hideous. :p

What are you going to do with it?

It will be my daily I had to sell my 2010 taco and got the corolla. I hate it. I drive 1.5 miles to work. I will paint it flat black or red... I will get black wheels. Get new front/rear tube bumper.

Ugly color. Looks like a fun truck but god forbid you have any issues with it. At least with the corolla you had a warranty and were not tempted to get to stupid in it like this thing.

Doesn't seem like a well thought out move. As a daily driver for you, it would be a bad move to trade your new warrantied vehicle for a novelty truck that has lost its novelty for this guy.

Seen a lot worse paint jobs. Hell yeah, if the commute is only 1.5 miles then WTF? Questions tho.......is the corolla paid off? Do you have a place to park the truck to keep it from being stolen? Is the difference in tire replacement gonna be an issue? What if your job changes and the commute is farther? All comes down to how it fits in your life and what you want, what you need it for and can you realistically afford to maintain it properly. What we think really doesn't mean shit in your day to day struggle to lead a happy fulfilling life.

If you had to sell your Tacoma and trade down to a Corolla, sounds like the Corolla is your best bet. Cheaper to own, operate, and they are cute. :p
Seriously, the Truck looks like it was set up and done well, but hopefully someone built it to run hard. There will be a lot more maintenance with this type of set up, and if you run hard things do break at times which equals more maintenance. Like mentioned, this is a toy, that needs to be tinkered with daily at times. But, if you have dreamed of having a real Prerunner, you could have fun with this truck. But all that spells money. Paint, rims, new parts, replacement parts, a constant labor of love. I know its a Toyota, but a modified one...

    Worth repeating.

If you haven't done this yet, don't. An obvious outcome would be that you would be trading again after a short amount of time and reality sets in, and you'll add to the losses.

Remember why (i assume) you got the Corrolla in the 1st place after selling the Tacoma.

The point of this is that you can learn vicariously from others who may have 'been there' in one way or another, and save a headache or two and cash in the process.

I agree with most everyone's opinions so far in that it'd be an irresponsible move. If you want a Tacoma, look at a newer regular cab. That LT truck has seen some use and I wouldn't trade a new warrantied vehicle for an old, abused toy.

IMO, no one puts that kind of money into a truck just to trade it for a corolla. I'd be willing to be there is something wrong with it.

plus a paint job, new wheels and bumpers are going to set you back a few thousand for a truck you have zero history on. if this was a stock Tacoma then it might be worth the risk. however this truck has be modified in many ways and you don't know history. if the Tacoma owner was a member of TW at least you can read about the history of the truck.

you should sell your corolla and buy a stock truck and put a few thousand into modifying it to your liking. trading for it is just easy thing to do but not necessarily the best thing.

Looks nice, but bed-liner that bitch, or at least plastiderp it. And since it's LT, take it for some serious test drives to see how much squeak/noise it has.
