I'm on my 13th car in 7 years so I perfectly understand...

How did you like your NC compared to the MSM? I've heard the NC feels bigger than the NB which I wouldn't mind, but I really liked my NB. Just seems I can get an NC for close to the price of an NB, or less than an MSM... I have been leaning towards the NC2 just because I like the front end a little more than the NC and I heard there were a few improvements.

    I hate the NC1.

I loved the NC2. The design upgrades were very warranted. I bought my MSM brand new. I had a 01 LS prior to that. MSM power band was peaky. I liked how rare it was (at the time, similar to my 17 PRO). The NC2 was way more refined. NC2 GT was a luxury car compared to my MSM. The motor didn't have the everyday driving punch. The NC2 was much more of a "GT" car compared to the MSM.

MSM MSRP was $27,000. They were giving them away in Los Angeles, for $18,700 new, since no one was buying them, due to NC1 a few months away and all the geezers waiting for that.

I can't comment on the interior size, as I am not a big person. I have had Mr2, S2000 (ap1 and ap2), Elise, Morgans, Elan, T-Rex, so always have had very small 2 seaters in the stable...

Makes sense, I'll just have to test drive a few. I've driven an NA, NB, and ND hated the ND. I liked the NB because it felt like it was put together a little better than the NA. Interior size I felt like the NB fit me perfectly, and felt very connected with the car.

My concern with the NC was maybe the interior would be too big and I wouldn't feel as sporty. A buddy of mine has an Mr2 I just cant get over the styling of the newer ones.

Except that I've seen more 1st and 3rd gen MR2s at the autocross than any 2nd gens. Looks wise, I agree though.

Guess I didn't really hate it I just wouldn't buy it. To me it didn't feel like a Miata, it was a nice car, but I wanted the feeling I got driving my NB or driving/riding in friends NA's. I just didn't like the engine, transmission, or steering. However mine was stock for about a week till I had coilovers on it, wider tires, and blast pipes so that might've changed my experience a little.

Let us know how the POS replacement is in a few months. Ohh and what did the dealer tell you about your hood? My sport hood seems to be fine, I heard about OR hoods having issues, but your the first sport I have heard about.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
This "tax issue" you speak of really depends on the state in which you reside. In Missouri there is ZERO difference in the way taxes are handled for a dealer trade or a private sale. Please stop putting out FALSE info, or info that may be only valid in YOUR state! Thank you!
