some of this, a little of that

You don't have to do any of those things to justify it. However if your primary reason for the purchase is performance then perhaps a truck is not the best thing for you.

I haven't driven the new Tundra, but does the extra horsepower and torque make up for the extra weight? I can't imagine the V8 Tundra is that much faster than your Tacoma. I could be wrong.

In a straight line I would imagine the Tundra to be quicker but I don't know about cornering and braking.

Now that is one nice Tundra. We need some pics here. I was flopping back and fourth on the idea of the Tundra as well and then I saw a Black 4 Door Limited 4x4 and I was sold. I really want one but my Tacoma is paid off. Don't really want the bill......maybe in a few years I'll pick one up. But if you can do it, I would do it.......for example if I had just bought my truck and I knew I was goin to have the payment for a few years I would trade. Good Luck, that truck looks STUPID when lifted.

I'm curious to see what you do.

I'm also curious about the claim that the Tundra is quicker. Everything I've read here (and in the auto-magazines) is that the tacoma holds its own when accelerating. I know the Tundra with the 5.7 has been shown to hit 60 anywhere between 6.3 and 7.6 (from what I've read).

I imagine as well, that the tundra will offer a more comfortable ride. The reviews state the Tundra drives like a dream, while Tacoma reviews vary (From camary-like to rough??)

This is all speculation though... I have yet to drive either, but I'm on a similar boat: Trying to decide if I want a fullsize or the tacoma...

Serious and not trying to be an asshole: Buy a Lexus.

If those items are what you're looking for proficiency in, you are shopping the wrong type of vehicle entirely, midsize or full.

if you want power then your surely gonna find it in the tundras 5.7L V8. my dad has a sequoia with a 5.7L and it HAULS!!!! it is insanely powerful, and you feel like king of the road, only complaint is steering is alittle numb. I have driven my friends tundra double cab 5.7 4x4 with a K&N intake and flowmaster deltaflow dual output and that is even more insanely powerful than the sequoia! i sometimes wish i had a tundra just for the extra space and bench seat and etc
