I’ll bring my 22cal rifle and $100 gets you in. Long distance target. Takes skill. Closest to the target takes the entire purse, or 1-3 split?

    A BBQ to fulfill!

You gotta go up the back way, where MJT entrance is, across the street from the Smurf house.

Oh ok, how is it that way? My truck is still stock with 500 miles and I don’t want to beat on it to hard yet

Perhaps this should be the trail. But I believe Hungry Valley posted that MJT was closed until Aug 15th. Let me see if I can find the post brb.

I was talking to big bro @lit_taco4x4 about hitting MJT or hungry valley and he confirmed it still closed until mid August.

No, was just throwing it out there. We need to plan. Like if you guys decide to do MJT, I can easily enjoy following you to the trail head, back out, and then go around to Hungry Valley and take Gold Hill to the top to meet ya’ll. That’s a great forest road I used to take when I harvested firewood up there.

I am definitely down, I 'am pretty new to driving off road- so far only have 2 trails under my belt (Berdoo Cyn & Del sur ridge) with a stock limo w/ AT tires- I do have recovery gear. Ill follow along as far as I can :bikewheelie:

Hopefully its planned for a weekend I have off! (I work alternating weekends)

I was planning on going to Frazier park/mountain this weekend, mostly because I haven’t been up there in years, probably not going the MJT route this time around. Next time I go the MJT I’m going to take my 95 Bronco…no offense to the Tacoma of course

That’s the first 4x4 I ever climbed into. I was a youngster and my brother in law took us to Azuza and I’ll never forget the feeling of climbing a steep short trail someone else started up against the side of the mountain. Hearing the motor grunt, trying to make the trail even longer, and alls I could see out the window were the tall stalk like weeds that grow there. What a kick that was. I caught the bug there.

Leave your rifle at home. Shooting is prohibited in Los Padres except while legal hunting during hunting season and at the two shooting clubs in the forest.

In all seriousness, I can leave the 22cal at home for another day…let’s say at a BLM site…and to make it interesting for you junkies that would declare, $100 gets you in, 3 shots, best hit winner takes all, extra time if necessary(smaller target/more distance). Say 15 of us show up…$1500 and some fun times…(tax man, we never done it!)

For the Los Padres meet, I know what I’ll be bringing and I do expect a VERY long line at the Taco stand! A. Get a ton of Crisco and B. Make a ton of mashed potatoes that will be fried. Fried potatoe tacos. Ya’ll remember the fella that wore overalls that used to have a BBQ show some years ago and would say, “I guarantee it!”
