What's the best batteries yall have found for trail cam use?? The stock ones lasted a couple months, then these stupid energizers only lasted about 3 weeks.....2 sets of energizers,.first set lasted a week and a half..........3 weeks for the 2nd set. I gotta find some that are good for cold weather and all.

that was my biggest thing when shopping for a trail cam, needed smaller batteries. I had one camera that took I think 8 D cell batteries..forget that.

I've been looking at external 12 volt power supply for my cams. I might have a line on some gell cells that should work well.

One place you can check for more battery info is http://www.chasingame.com/forum/index.php

I actually got some tenergy nimh d cell rechargeables and a charger from Amazon, and thy are doing pretty well. Been dipping into the 30's here as of late...and no probs so far. They say after 10 cycles....the charge rate is better. We shall see.

Unfourtinately, if your going to run your camera 24/7, theres nothing going to help with the D battery.

I put my camera out in september, and its still going strong, with around 1,100 pics every 2 weeks. Lithium batteries FTW. Can you exchange your camera for something that takes smaller ones?
