I am looking for a new trail cam, preferably one made in the good ol' USA. the only american brand that i can find that seems to be worth a crap is Reconyx, and i can't justify spending $500 to $600 bucks on a camera. I am looking for something in the $100 to $200 range. thanks for your help on this.

    stock, for now
I bought a Monarch trail cam, which is the same damn thing as the bushnell one. Works great, I'd buy another one if they still made them.

bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
If you are looking for something made here in the states, I hate to say it, but good luck. I bought a wildlife innovations, and when I had a problem with it, I called them. When I asked if they would fix it, the guy on the other end replied, "nope we are a turnkey operation, these cameras come from China, we will just send you a new one" Well, at least the customer service was good.

thanks canada for your input, this seems to be SOP when it comes to trail cams. i am tired of buying shitty products that are mass manufactured in china, it really rubs me the wrong way. i am trying to quit purchasing anything from over there, it's hard as hell but it makes me feel better if i can get something that is manufactured here in the states.

prolly not American made....but i have a wildgame innovations d8d camera.....and its pretty damn solid. rain doesnt bother it at all...had flash and infrared, 30 second delay(15 would be better..but not available), and battery life is awesome. my wife got it for me for my bday. i think dicks sporting goods has them on sale now for around $110 or so.

    back to bone stock.
good luck. everything comes from overseas. shit, i bet the reconyx has components that are not domestic.

americans insatiable appetite for the bargain.

anyways, i hunt public land. i can only hang a POS camera out. it is 50/50 odds on it getting stolen.

I hunt public lands too, that's why i refuse to pay the $500+ to get a reconyx, just so some jackass redneck can steal it! thanks for everyone's input on this, guess i will just get the new bushnell cams that just came out.

I use cuddyback cameras, but also have a couple of the new bushnels, and one el cheapo moultrie. Moultrie sucks period. I guess I got what I paid for there. New Bushnels battery life is amazing! And Cuddyback's picture quality and trigger speed is all good.
