The biggest thing I wish my SR5 had out of this package is the power outlet. That's the one serious item I didn't get that I was looking for on mine.

Agreed there. Will I use it often? No idea. But I want it.

Separate set of 2 keys, also double sided. Truck key does not work, so you can buy / sell / swap these without issue.

Probably not, however they do have drains so water doesn't get stuck inside of the box. The drivers side box is insulated so that may give it more protection against the rain.

I'd say rain and splash proof at best. They have a rubber gasket around the lids but I don't trust the build quality enough for them to mate perfectly. I've already seen water get into them after going through the car wash.

Sure does. I'll mess with them more later to see if I can't adjust or modify them, but it's freezing out. I just finished rust proofing and next priority is getting the front-end ready for kamikaze deer. Rifle/shotgun season started yesterday.

In Canada the SR5s come with the power outlet in the bed. My 19 LB has it. Have to move up a TRD to get them in the US.

Got one this week. Removed the storage in order to fit a tonneau cover. 2 T40 torx's and 8 T30 torx's to remove. Not difficult but not quite convenient enough to throw them in and out whenever you want. tacoma.jpg

Just got a Trail Edition @Longo in Los Angeles for sticker…everything there is sticker, no markups.

Almost everything I wanted, and not much I didn’t (except the bed boxes and grille)

Anybody in SoCal area want some bed boxes? PM me. I’m sure they make sense for somebody.

Just putting feelers out there, but... anyone want to trade their SR5 Bronze Trail Ed. wheels for the black Nightshade 18" wheels?

    :fingerscrossed:

I dont the the Trail Edition is even available yet, recall reading an article that said it won't be until sometime in November.
