Does the Trail come with the following?

    Crawl Control?
    Multi-terrain select?
    Off Road suspension?
    Tire pressure monitoring?
    Dual Climate control?

Those are all important to me, but not essential to a lot of folks.

I've got a lot of respect for any SR5, but gladly paid a little more for an Off Road, even though I've already upgraded the suspension with a 2" lift.

Let’s get serious for a moment, does the TE have the inclinometer? If not, then it’s an easy decision. Very difficult to live without. :D

I like the TE, but it's just an SR5. The wheels, grill, and lift can be added to any Tacoma. And the bed storage bins? WTF???
Also, the Trail Edition is ~2,000 more than an OffRoad.
Easy decision for me. I'd go OR. Spend the 2K on some custom wheels and an aftermarket grill.

Interesting…my wife has a Sport and the biggest problem she has with my TRDOR is that she doesn’t like my brakes.
I thought it was her imagination until I had both hoods open and noticed how different the brake systems are. Learned on TW what the difference is…and I can see where the vacuum booster might be preferred by some.

    Nice that we have choices…

I went with the trail cause it was all they had at the time. And if I had to choose again I’d go with the trail. It’s a solid truck without all the bling mostly. I will say the boxes were worthless to me so I took them out and sold them for 300 to a guy that has a TRD OR

    ???
    On toyota.com, a DCSB OR V6/Auto 4X4 is 38,905 (USD). A DCSB TE V6/Auto 4X4 is 40,970 (USD),
    A little over 2K more.
    Am I missing something?

For a DCSB Auto, the Trail is ~$3300 more than an Off-road in British Columbia. It’s $300 more than the Off-road Premium.

That they're all the same with different bells and whistles.

All the bells and whistles are pretty much the same on the TE no matter where it's sold. I have heard from some the Predator steps were added(no thanks) but for the most part the TE has the standard additions to the SR5, wheels, grille, rear locker, bed boxes, floor mats, black badging, etc...

I still don't understand why TE even exists when TRD OR already exists.

TE is a cool configuration tho..basically an OR without the multi terrain gizmos
