    Hey All,

I recently installed the low profile front bumper from Trail Gear. I notice that there's a wire harness that's exposed on the passenger side.
I assume that this will be an issue when I encounter some brush that has hopes of yanking that spot.

So with that, any idea what that is? Also, any ideas of how I can protect that area?

    Thanks for the help

That is the wiring for your windshield washer Reservoir. Many get a different fluid Container and relocate in the engine bay.

I love the thing! I prepped, painted, and installed all by myself.

I used my winch for the first time this past weekend trying to pull someone out, I ended up just pulling my truck forward.
I hooked up a tow strap to it and then was able to yank the person out; at no time did the bumper give me any concern as it performed flawlessly.

My truck now turns head and I get a lot of compliments. I think it makes the truck appear a lot more aggressive.

I am very happy with my purchase!

Unfortunately, I do not know the weight. It's heavier than the stock bumper, and was enough additional weight that it (when combined with Warn M8000) required me to do the pinch weld mod. My 265/75/R16 started rubbing when turned and compressed. I also have the front raised with Bilstein 5100's initially to accommodate the bigger tires...

From the link you sent I read in the comments that someone found this reservoir to be compatible with the oem connections. I've purchased it and will report back how it works out. Thanks again for the help!

I'm very interested in this bumper. I'm curious did you have to buy the bolt on crossmember separate or did it come with the bumper?

    Hey Syvi,

Everything needed for installation is included; I am still very happy with this bumper and recommend it to anyone interested.

I wanted to update on the installation as it was completed this past weekend. It does indeed fit and works; however, I had to swap out the water pump with the original one I had pulled off of the reservoir. When I first installed everything with the included pump there was no water that went through to the nozzles and I could hear the pump struggling. Luckily my old one was still working just fine. I'd recommend to others to purchase a different reservoir for a lot cheaper (especially if you can re use your original pump).

Will work on a better looking bracket eventually.

Empty spot now needs to be touched up now.
