Its a piece of aluminum that pushes your strut assembly down giving you lift, not much to talk about and brand doesn't matter.

I have a toytech leveling kit that came with spacers and it made the ride rougher than hell. When i go over speed bumps no matter what speed it feels like I have 0 travel what so ever up front. I have a 3'' spacer and AAL

This is straight from their website.
TACOMA COMPLETE FRONT & REAR 3" LIFT

Looking for a complete kit for better ground clearance on your Tacoma? Trail-Gear is now offering a Tacoma Complete Front & Rear Lift for the Toyota Tacoma 2005-2013 Prerunner/4WD. This lift kit includes our Tacoma Front Spacer Lift, 3” , Tacoma Rear Add-A-Leaf 2”, and our Tacoma/FJ Cruiser Differential Drop Kit. The Tacoma Front Spacer Lifts are made from CNC-machined 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum and are anodized orange to prevent corrosion. The Tacoma Front Spacer Lift includes Class 10.9 bolts for the top spacer. Our Tacoma Front Spacer Lift will work with stock shocks and many other shocks and will add 3” of lift in the front, levels the truck, and eliminates the factory rake.

Our Tacoma Rear Add-A-Leaf comes includes plastic anti-friction pads installed and two zinc-plated leaf spring center pin bolts. Our Tacoma/FJ Front Differential Drop Kit is made out of solid aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum and zinc-plated Grade 8 hardware. The complete lift will also include our new Tacoma Driveline Spacer Kit. The Tacoma Driveline Spacer Kit is made out of 5/16” thick zinc-plated steel. Longer M10 mounting bolts are included in the driveline spacer kit.

Sounds like they are including stuff not needed. For one spacers are the least desirable way to lift and for good reason. The 2" add a leaf doesn't really make sense because you won't be level. The diff drop, well this is just a toss in so they can charge more $$$ for the kit. As for the drive line spacer, this is not really needed either but they’ll attempt to justify the use of it with the 2” AAL which should be a 1.5 AAL instead to level you.

BTY this is to say nothing bad about the comp, I'm just offering my opinion.

You should do a lot of research on this site before you buy. You will find that 99% of people will tell you NOT to buy a spacer lift. They are cheap for a reason. Look around this site and most will say to look at Toytec.com and other sites. As far as lifts go, there are happy people with OME Lifts ($700) and some that spend less and go for Bilstien shocks all around for a little over $300. Look around this site though, there is a TON of info!!

Don't buy a spacer lift. I have one and they suck. I am saving up for leafs, springs and shocks for a 3" lift

Just do Bilstein 5100s in the front and set them to 1.75 setting (second notch) and leave the back alone. This will level you out, cost is very affordable, and you should be able to tuck slightly bigger tires under the wheel wells.

But yeah there are tons of options out there, so do your research.

You "dont need one" but I dropped mine anyways. Without it, the cv were too much at an angle with mine
