I am a fan of Pacifico and Dos Equis XX (Stay Thirsty My Friends), but we got cans instead of bottles for the off roading, and all they had at the market that we like in cans was Modelo! Now, Modelo is okay... but not as full flavored as the others (without being heavy like many darker beers or IPAs). Need to not get weighed down when four wheeling! Mexicali beer and TJ Beer is great. Tecate is good only from the Tecate brewery in Baja... the import sold here comes from the mainland, and is not as good.

Other beers I enjoy include hefe's like Pyramid and Blue Moon, as well as Fosters, Asahi, and in an emergecy Miller Lite or Coors Lite. The only Bud I can swallow is Bud Lite Lime... and never Corona (about the only Mexican beer I will not touch... unless given to me)!

What are your favorite brews Doug?

DOS XX is good, as is pacifica & I couldn't agree more about corona, it taste like piss, speaking of which about 20 years ago (before it was an import) I remember watching the NBC nightly news & a report came out that Mexican health officials had finished a sting operation in Monterey where it was brewed & in this sting, they had caught on surveillence vid, workers pissing in the VATS , last corona I ever drank !! :puke::puke::puke:

Tecate is excellent !!! thats what I mostly drink in Baja & yeah we stop at the dispenseria this side of Rosarito (edge of town)

Surprisingly no PJ, I did it on TDS... on a fucking manzanita root I believe, a good 6" slice in the sidewall. Bald tires or new theres no fix for sidewall carnage !!:eek:

You saw that vid going up Your Peak, that was taken in Rick's (rebelmonk) taco right before he sold it. It was still pretty tough, even with it dry, even with the bypass's....:eek::eek:
