It’s been a frenzy of deferred maintenance over here… At least that is keeping my mind off the videos I’ve seen of this trail :lalala:

This trail looks pretty serious, even the bypasses. Hopefully all the rain weve had doesnt make it even more difficult.

I've ran this trail I think 3.. maybe 4 times over the years in the Taco at different stages of its build.. and every time it was slightly different due to the weather and use. I'm sure the rain back filled some of the spots, so it may have made some easier.. but also may have made others more difficult. Not until this most recent time on 35s did I come out unscathed. Previously.. I always candy stripped and or crushed my driveshaft.

This was the video that convinced me to give it a go. 3 different rigs ranging in capabilities, tackling different lines. I’m realistic that I slot in at the lower end of them, but seems doable!

Theres also a collection of videos of some Toyota guys doing the trail, though it is 7 years old so I'm not sure how much the trail has changed since then. They took a 1st gen, couple 2nd gens, land cruiser, 1st gen tundra and a pickup out.
That gave me a better idea of the trail than the jeep videos
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4n_SozdZU4

And theres another video of a guy doing it on a pretty close to stock 2.5 gen Tundra.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga7uss_2Rkc

I'm leaning towards sitting this one out. I think I'm just asking to break stuff to head out there on stock skids no sliders

Don't know untill we put tires on it, but from the videos I saw it looks very doable. It's a short trail and we have nothing but time.

I ran this in a modified XJ back in late 2000, and you boys are gonna have fun! I'll wait for the next title change. :D

The guy in the 2.5gen tundra is Kevin. Its a badass truck. Rolled around with a pressurized pony keg and tap in the back of the cab. He was fun at meets.

Can’t go this time (family visiting), but just got the scratches buffed out of the taco from our last trip and ceramic coated :)

@radio1521 you still planning on camping Friday night? I'll bring some fire wood if you wouldn't mind bringing a bundle or two along as well. Also my wife will be hitching along.

Decided I can't just sit at home while y'all are out having fun..

I'll be coming out Friday night to camp, and ride with y'all Saturday at least to the trail head and play it by ear from there.
I'll flip around if it gets too rough for the old girl.

Might have the gf tagging along too since its just a single night.

I'll grab a bag of wood too.

Awesome! We'll help you look out for the ol girl. Don't want anyone going home with damage that was avoidable.

I’ll be there no worries, what’s the meet up point for tomorrow night? Also brining the kids so they can collect wood

Also another tip, once you hit dirt on E Price road stop and air down. It'll make the drive to camp better.

Sorry guys, looks like I have to bail. I took a gamble and tried to have a leaf swap done this week because mine were in sad shape and just got word it’s not going to be ready tonight. Have fun! Looking forward to seeing pics!
