There are other ways to get you're post count up bro.
If you think something is wrong take it back, that's why you buy new, a warranty!!
The marriage thing is your problem. Hopefully you tested her out a little more than you did the truck...

Typically the shocks that come stock on these trucks are not the greatest. Upgrading to 5100s is a common first step. You could always go with kings or fox, even their non resi shocks have a great ride quality when paired with the correct springs. For the rear, the stock leaves are junk, adding an AAL helps, but a full pack swap is almost needed for any kind of comfort off road.

Depending on the kind of driving you plan on doing off road, stiffer springs are much more forgiving than softer, seems counter intuitive I know, but it’s the shock absorber that actually softens the blow, if your shocks aren’t valved properly for the kind of driving you do, you’re gonna have a bad time. @AccuTune Offroad is pretty good at offering shocks specifically for your application. Worth checking it out imho.

Since you directly asked me, I’ll respond also…I’m not sure why it rides so poorly. That shouldn’t be the case. If it’s really as bad as you are saying then there might be an issue with the truck. These Tacomas aren’t sports cars but they shouldn’t be that uncomfortable.

Hopefully you’re just exaggerating although I’m surprised you didn’t notice the issue during the test drive.

x2 springs are most likely not whats causing the poor ride quality. Your comments in regard to ride quality seem to be pretty bad. Is this your first pickup truck by chance? Sure, nice aftermarket shocks will be nice, but I'm surprised this brand new 2023 suspension is so rough for you.

It shouldn't. Mine rides fine. No different than any other Tacoma. The miniscule "lift" the Trail came with is definitely not the problem...

Probably right. I'm going to guess it's just the way the truck is. OP may be comparing to a car or SUV maybe, not sure.
