Greetings! wondering if there is a way to have a trailer backup camera display on the OEM display in a 2017 TRD Off Road.

Don’t want to have to add a secondary wireless unit and screen.

    thanks

This is terrific. So adding relays to this product would allow it's Front cam setting to display a hardwired camera on the rear of my camper, and a cab switch can toggle that or the oem backup cam?

    Reading the linked wiring diagrams...
What is an "ABC" relay? Does the term denote a function, or a brand please. A vendor link would help me decipher.
    Thanks all.

Thanks. Looks like Kit will do the trick. Will need to make up a 40 ft two piece cable to reach back of tow trailer. Any recommendations on a waterproof removable connector between truck bumper and trailer? Will signal degrade over that distance... a lot of voltage drop to run the camera that far away.

Dumb question... what do people use a front facing camera on truck for?

so it's a really good thing the oem signal is Composite. which is good for well into 1,000 ft.

I assumed from a few posts on the forum that wiring up a trailer backup camera was sucessfully done before using the extension cables.
A 19' Tacoma and 16' Travel Trailer required five or six 6.5' extensions cables with a M-F joint at the bumper to hitch and unhitch.

With the vendor on the phone I plugged in and swapped around three, four, and five extension cables and we found after three the video was not coming through. Its always possible that something in my particular purchased vendor harness or head end was creating more impedence that normal.

Can you please clarify what you put at the rear bumper other than a pluggable break point?
It would benefit other forum members to understand how to utilize this great system for towing backup, without hardwiring.
