    Update: The replacement combo meter was going to be about $600+ labor and had to ordered & installed by the dealer. I found this harness at Etrailer 2016 Toyota Tacoma Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring - Tekonsha (etrailer.com). It was very simple to install, no cutting & splicing, plug & play connection. Great installation video too. I'd highly recommend.
    Thanks for help identifying the problem Caribe & how to remove the combo meter.
